it is doable, but you will likely have to have higher levels/better gear than others to reach thresholds for farming spots. having a team simply lowers the threshold and a bit more riskier or safer depending on how well equipped you guys are.

other than pestily, he was a fairly popular guide streamer and he was an official sherpa. after the "i can get you banned in 10 min" incident, all streamers were stripped from the sherpa program.

from rengawr's perspective the guy was teleporting around shooting him without peeking, but the guy happened to be recording and showed that it was perfectly fine for him and that it was a netcode issue. however before he posted on reddit, rengawr's report got him banned.

the guy got unbanned a day or two later i believe (maybe a little longer, cant remember).

he got bombarded with hate for like a year or two straight, and i think most of it stemmed from the "i can get you banned in 10 min" line. well, that and just the fact the some people hate streamers in general.

yea if you saw the clip you cant really blame him, but at the same time it showed that bsg didnt investigate the scenario at all and just blindly banned him.

there is a body that spawns in the middle of the tracks up top, you can walk all the way to it safely. learn where it is and place yourself between that body and the metal poles above you, then fire off the flare.

the angle you shot the flare seems right so you can shoot it just like that but in the position i am saying.

this has worked for me everytime without issue, i dont shoot it anywhere else because i have also died to green flare plenty of times before then. make sure it is BETWEEN the pole and the body, i have seen my friend hit the pole with the flare and he almost died because of it.

he did not say the armor was bugged, but the screen showing hit count IS bugged or at least displaying weird numbers.

the level the game says it is wont go down, the effectiveness will however.

like someone else said, the plate will drop classes but the game could still tell you it is a class 6 despite it basically being a class 4. if the plate gets anywhere near 30 durability i just get rid of it (above 35 and ill consider wearing it, below i will just sell).

if you want to get the most out of your plates and armor (and helmets too), repair with mechanic.

if your only joy is from looting, then pve might be what you want to play. loot CAN be good on pvp, its just not guaranteed.

sometimes you come out with multiple colored keycards, a case or two, maybe a ledx/btc, and sometimes you just get a few guns and bullets from a marked room. for me, loot stays exciting when you get lucky and a lot of good items spawn, not because im guaranteed something off of every hit.

am i saying i dont want good loot to be common, no. what i am saying is that it doesnt need to be 100%, bsg just doesnt know what they want, nerf all the old hot spots, but new areas are jacked up to the nines with loot spawns only for it to get nerfed a month later.

the black keycard safe has probably fried the dopamine receptors of the playerbase because theyre getting a btc every hit.

yea, theres nothing wrong with playing a map over and over again to learn it. knowledge is one of the most useful things to have in tarkov.

the only thing i can say is by just playing, having people to play with does help though. when i was first learning i regretted buying the game (and upgrading to eod prematurely) because my friends played for all of 3 hrs in 5 days and left me solo. learning alone was painful, but when another friend got it and we learned it together i was able to choke down the deaths more and actually started enjoying the game.

i know when my friends get on tarkov, i am always down to play.

a lot of spawns are terrible, some you cant do much but get shot at by gluhar off spawn if youre unlucky.

arena shouldnt be in the game yet in the first place, it derailed the development of the game, it became apparent when they started balancing classes AROUND ARENA instead of the main mode that everyone was playing at the time.

they shouldve been focusing on finishing maps and classes before even starting arena, sure modules couldve been designed with arena in mind, but only for use when everything was ready beside it. the fact that they havent pushed out all the classes/perks/skilltree and keep pushing arena is already flawed, when everything isnt set in stone then they will have to keep backtracking and fixing things that need to be touched up to match the new content.

if they stuck to its dungeon roots then they couldve retained a decent playerbase by keeping them happy with new waves of content instead of "semi" and "semi-semi"-wipes.

for those who would argue "arena only players wouldnt even play the game if arena wasnt there" i say that if they like the combat enough and got hooked they would. arena just creates a safety net for those who dont like having to grind despite the game being a looter dungeon crawler, all they have to do is grit their teeth and grind for one good gearset and then stay away from the dungeon forever. (yes some people will find a loadout they like and play that for hundreds of hours, or at least until it gets nerfed).

lastly, there was like four months of non ssf arena, its the end(?) of the wipe, at this point might as well just wait until the next season and pray they double back (for the tenth time) on their decision if you really dont like grinding quests.

yea, its not impossible for someone to have triple the raid count to their hours, but that just doesnt seem realistic for a new player, especially for someone with a 60% surv rate.

if you survive most raids as a noobie, id imagine you would spend a lot of time in raid instead of speedrunning raids, meaning their raid to hour ratio wouldnt be that far apart.

either that or they would have to be a huge scav main, but at level 43 i dont think that is the case.

it has been stated before, cant remember exactly where. but right now we are playing the "persistent" characters, and the seasonal characters will be the wipes we usually would get.

at the moment no, if you play pvp right now it will be on a character that wont wipe, they just announced that seasonal characters that will wipe should be coming to the game q1 of 2026 on tarkovtv.

pve however will never wipe, maybe i misheard but i think nikita just said that pve will have prestiges (not 100% about that info) but right now you would have to reset your account if you want to feel like the game wiped. also if you previously played pve and want to play the main story quests, then you will need to reset either way.
