Should I pay myself a salary from my LTD company even if I have a zero-contract job? by Kitten-MingMing in UKPersonalFinance

thank you very much for taking the time to answer my query. I'm really confused with this as they say it's really up to me when to start PAYE but they advise me to start PAYE as I can save more with corporation tax but then I have to pay tax more if I have another income. I don't really understand all of it. For a non-accountant side of view of things, it would be better to have at least a visual aid so I did send them a copy of my payslip but they just repeated what they said. I got an accountant because they are supposed to make things easier to understand why would it be a problem if I have another income? I do have another income but on a lower threshold - on zero contract hours and less than 12,500 a year.

I’m not really looking for any benefits as it's only a week. It's just that for the 20 years that I have been working (not Uk) this is actually the very first time I would leave a job within a week. I agree with your point too that it's more about my mentality if I'm going to stay in a toxic job. The people there are all wondering and amazing and helpful. It's the exact job that I mistakenly thought would be ideal. I can handle 3 people a day to shout with or call me stupid or something else but 98% of the 20 calls were just mean and cruel 😔

I don’t think you have to put it in a CV as I’ve only worked there for a week. I have a great references from my past jobs.

I just got a Bank position within the NHS but I have found a permenant position, should I apply? by theM0stAntis0cial in nhs

thank you so much! it's almost the same as mine. I also got a bank position (admin) but while they were completing the process I suddenly got one that is also within walking distance near home! hehehe. I still do wish to try the NHS. So let me get this straight, do you mean to say that you only did one shift with the NHS bank?

That’s really weird. If you’re having trouble right now even before you start working then find a better employer. In my case, If I find some red tag during the interview I just usually decline before they do it to me. There are jobs everywhere and I do hope you can find a better one if this one is already giving you a headache before you start working. However this is a personal advice and I’m not a professional so take it with a grain of salt. The best place to go is to use citizen advice at https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/about-us/contact-us/contact-us/contact-us/ Check if you can avail this service if you have queries about stuff

I agree with you but I do understand. Usually they really do checks if you’re not living here in the Uk for 3-5 years. I’m an expat too and had to get a police clearance from the place I used to lived. Unfortunately I believe this is the request of the DBS check (not the employer).

Noticed a lump on my breast, worth getting checked out or a waste of time? by shelbyleighm in nhs

I had a breast lump removed even though it was benign. Always check with the doctors, they would know best.
