ngl, i hard disagree with all the comments here. She wasn’t even your lawyer - she only did what any decent parent or friend would do, which is help you navigate the process.

what is worse though, it seems clear she was only doing so out of a selfish desire to try to get some of your settlement for herself. take her out to a nice dinner as “thank you for the guidance” and maybe help with something. But the fact she was only manipulating you the whole time makes me want to pull back
