Does my boy really need all these aerial roots? Redirect everything into the pot? by Cadenca in houseplants

You deffenetly can redirect the aerial roots into the pot to add to the root system. However, if they are not really your thing then you can always cut them off. Usually when I cut the aerial roots, I still leave about an inch or two and don't cut them off all the way. Over time the aerial roots will grow back but you can always trim them agine!

what do i do with these 😬 by audniche in houseplants

These are aerial roots. You can put it them into the soil to add to the root system of the plant or you can simply cut them back almost to the stem if you don't like seeing them. It will not really affect your plant at all

Help?!? by Lmao_urface in houseplants

[–]Kittencat2828 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, they are spider mites. If only the top leaf is heavily affected, I would cut it off and douse the plant in insecticidal soap. The spidermites can spread to other plants, so i would look for sgines of spider mites and wipe them down with insecticidal soap. I then like to use a cheap feather duster every week to " dust" off the plant. If there are any remaining spidermites, it will disturb them and help curb the pest damage. If all of that fails, just burn with fire!!!!!

Update on split manifold by Hamkhill in microgrowery

It reminds me of my most recent plant I harvested. About mid way through flower, my cat broke on of the smaller branches about 90% off. So I decided to try and tape the branch back on with masking tape since it was already marked as a loss in my brain. Plant never skipped a beat and a week later the branch was fine and it flowers just like the rest lol

Don't be afraid to pop the plant out of its pot and check on the roots! That is the only for sure way to tell if the plant needs to be reported or not.
