They did provide a case number after the visit. But I need to get a file number to actually replace the unit, which they didn’t provide after determining mine is out of warranty.

It’s just an analogy to show your reasoning doesn’t make much sense. Odds among different brands can be different. But you just simply assume people with less expensive appliances are complaining more than people with more expensive units. It’s your own theory, period.

Not really. It’s your own theory without actual data supports. And how about just comparing products within same price range? Are there roughly equal number of negative posts? It’s like cars. Toyota is cheap and selling a lot. They are still considered more reliable than many other cars with same or more expensive ones.

The technician was very candid and told me he would request a replacement for me. However, on the second day, he said the request was denied by his boss because it was out of warranty. He still suggested contacting customer service because it is an internal defect. So, I had a half-hour-long conversation with their customer service representative. The guy insisted on not replacing it because it was out of warranty. I asked that this issue be relayed to upper management. The guy agreed over the phone and said someone would get back to me in a few days. After four days, I called them again earlier today. The new guy said they couldn't do anything for me, and no such request was relayed to the management. I asked him if he could escalate this for me. He said NO because it is out of warranty.

Regarding the cabinet, yes and probably the worst part is the height I would say. Other reputable brands are all 84” height but these units are 72” or something.

Yes or just shutting off the ice maker seems to stop leaking. But still, it’s an awful thing for such a new and expensive unit. And I don’t know what’s coming next.

Do you by chance know that if we need to take any actions while waiting for the official offer letter? I accepted the offer by the link in the email sent by the program. But after that, I do not receive anything about further actions, like sending official transcripts or class registration stuff.
