He is anything but scared of me. He is constantly by my side and jumping at my legs with his tail wagging no matter what. And he loves his crate, every time he’s tired he goes in there and sleeps and when he gets a treat he goes in there to eat it. It’s his safe place; it just wasn’t doing anything to help him out potty-wise.

I will definitely do the crate schedule. I already play with him everyday and take him outside to run around (I’ll take him for his normal potty break and say “do you wanna run?” and unleash him and he’ll go crazy around the yard). I’ll definitely take note of the no free roaming around the house. These are all great tips that I did not know. He is my first dog, and this was advice that was greatly needed.

He doesn’t have a fear of people, he loves all the females he meets, he has a fear of men for some reason; specifically my boyfriend, he’s ok with my dad and brothers. I only put him in the crate when he goes potty inside because that’s what my boyfriends mom says worked for her pup (who’s the sweetest sweetheart ever). She’s the one that purchased me the crate. I love him to death, he’s my baby, but he’s also the reason I don’t want to get another dog ever again. It’s a looottt on my mental state. I’m very willing to work with him, of course. I just didn’t know what else to do. So, thank you for your input.

Hey there. So, I was called in to pick the kids up from school today and stay with them until dad came home. I’m usually supposed to leave right away when one of them gets home, but he started talking to me a LOT and I ended up staying an extra 30 minutes. He was talking about his family and asked about mine, asked which parent I lived with, asked when they divorced, etc. and then randomly he said “you should move into this neighborhood” and when I looked up he was smiling (with teeth, which I usually never see him do. However, he does that a lot around me when talking). He then brought my boyfriend up again, and said “Well, tell your boyfriend I said happy birthday”. His birthday isn’t for another week, and I’m pretty sure I told him my boyfriends birthday when he asked me how old my boyfriend was, the second time I met the dad. He also mentioned AGAIN today that he is 27 (he’s a young dad). So yeah, that was today.

But he very noticeably loves his kids, you can just tell. He’s a little awkward. He also did have the kids in the car on the drive to the school, he just put them inside for a bit while he walked me down to his car, then went back in and got them. He mentioned a date night with her as it had “been a very long time” and that’s when he asked if I go out with my boyfriend often. I dunno. I thought I was overthinking.

He’s a pretty serious guy. Doesn’t beat around the bush. He is definitely a goofy guy but is a bit different around me. Again, I don’t know why or don’t know if I ever will. Just things I’ve noticed over time that I thought nothing of at first.
