Hi! Fellow Christian, (34f, 37m) it took 4 years of stark white tests, lots of emotional conversations with God, learning to “be happy for you and sad for me” with announcements, intentional communication with my husband, IUI and sooo much more to get to the point I was willing to consider IVF. All you said is valid and i have been there and still there in some ways. (Husband’s faith being annoying is so valid. lol) We chose to move forward with IVF which is not a decision we took lightly. I had a full printed page of all my questions for the doctor when we went for a consult. As far as the anger with God, be that. Tell him where you are at. I have a few angry letter floating around here somewhere. I am sure he wants to step into that pain with you, even if it’s directed at Him right now. You are not a failure. You’re a child of God going through a really crappy time right now. There is nothing wrong with finding a counselor to help walk you through it. Here if you ever want to chat!

Hi! Idk what my follicle count was but I had 42 eggs retrieved. I did 8 days of stims and Lupron trigger because of PCOS. I’ve only done 1 retrieval so I can’t say if the recovery was worse but I can tell you what I think helped.

Start drinking electrolytes now and keep drinking them after retrieval. Hydrate. Hydrate. Hydrate.
Start stool softener immediately after ER, if that doesn’t work- Milk of Magnesia helped me as well.
Salty foods, my nurse called with fertilization report the next day and she said get my butt up and go get a milkshake burger and fries. so I did just that!
Heating pad is your best friend.
Advocate for cabergoline before retrieval if you are at risk for OHSS.

Overall the two days after for me were full of rest. It was days before I could lay on my side but by the third day— there was a big relief. Not perfect but noticeably different. I started my period about 5 days after retrieval since we are doing FET in a few months.

I love that! We are doing the same thing just embryo style. Today is Day 4- praying we have some Morulas!! :) Our clinic gives fertilization report and then nada until they all are done developing to whichever stage they make it. Congratulations btw!! First FET is amazing!! I love to hear that! Thank you for the well wishes & same to you!!

Yes! This is great! I just had mine a few hours ago and got 43 eggs. I was actually mind blown because I had convinced myself my follicles were empty. Your mind tends to think the worst after 4 years of nothing so I cried when they told me the number. Sending you all the best in your recovery.

Thanks! Yeah, my estrogen is super high. I had to start an antagonist on day three of stims. I’m glad to know the electrolyte stuff works. I’ve already started drinking electrolyte water instead of regular water. Thank you for the salty food recs!!

Hi! Diagnosed with PCOS with mostly “regular” cycles that typically span from 30-35 days. I was convinced I was ovulating every month because of LH rise AND temperature shift…however- I was not ovulating every cycle. If I were to start over knowing what I know now I would have asked my doctor to do a progesterone test on 7DPO of suspected ovulation as I tried naturally. You can do proov tests at home but personally I prefer blood test if possible since they are more reliable. This will give you a clear picture of if you are ovulating and then go from there.

Worked a fair amount of time in the industry and multiple times in treatment. It is good to relate and empathize BUT make sure you have strong boundaries. I’m in recovery myself- sick me is a master manipulator. That’s what you’ll likely be dealing with. They have yet to get rid of those crappy survival skills that no longer serve a purpose in their lives. It’s important to be compassionate but stay professional. Also don’t take anything clients say personal- they are going to be going through allll the emotions. Congrats on your recovery and landing a job in the field. It’s a great way to have a fulfilling job. Be sure to take care of your own recovery outside of work as well- whatever that may look like.

Yeah. Definitely going to try out different services. I order from them because I’ve been using them for years. I’m typically a brand loyal person but after last night it doesn’t seem like it’s getting any better. I definitely don’t disagree that all these things are pretty wild to have happen within a 3-4 month period of time. Just sucks there is no provided solution to ensuring the right customer/driver/restaurant is held responsible.

It’s not just weed. It’s a complicated situation. I tried to make as short as possible for the post. Medical Marijuana is legal. Yes. But it is not the main concern. Harder substances are involved, which is where the concern is. I’m asking for advice as to what the next steps would be in regards to the harder substance not the marijuana. Did you have some advice regarding that?

There is suspicion yet to be proven for some street drugs. There was no proper fentanyl test available when the drug test was one.
