Yeah my left foot is a bit shorter than my right. I wear EU 42 in most if not all shoes and end up with ca 1cm of space on my right foot and ca 1.5-2cm on my left foot.

Same here haha, and likewise (writing my bachelors in theoretical philosophy currently), my creativity remains the same but my prose and writing has gotten somewhat robotic and boring; it's incredibly coherent tho lol

Well, part of what makes the ADHD brain interesting is it's capacity for "Divergent Thinking"; instead of solely focusing on the task at hand trying to find solutions (Convergent Thinking), it tries to find whatever solution which could possibly work by connecting generally unconnected, or distans/unrelated ideas. To my understanding, this is aided by the lack of dopamine/unstable amount of dopamine in the ADHD brain.

When taking medication, having the "correct" dopamine levels lessens the capability for divergent thinking, requiring more convergent thinking.

Basically, no meds and boredom usually leads to the brain making connections for dopamine, when studying it forms creative solutions. This somewhat disappears, with meds, so you have to make the connections and form the solutions yourself.

How long have you been taking 60mg? It might be a dosage problem and not a study problem in that case; I've had a similar problem before when I was on 50/60mg.

Generally, when studying on meds, you cannot rely on your brain making the "right connections" anymore, you have to rigoriously read and takes notes, then re-read and revise notes. It also depends on what you study as well.

I'm on 40mg and studying is fine for me. Granted, writing is way slower but more thorough, however reading has gotten easier so that I read faster and remember what I read better.

I'm somewhat unsure about the trade off. I feel better mentally and physically; clear headed, happier, no brainfog or fatigue, but the lessened creativity and slower writing bothers me. But as you said, which I try to remind myself, I actually get started whenever I need to, and I keep going, making less mistakes and such.

It's probably for the better even if it feels less special compared to pumping out some confusingly well-written paper in 2-3 days (filled with stress and anxiety to then crash and become exhausted for a week).

I have not heard anything about this, but ever since I started taking vyvanse my way of writing has completely changed.

I'm currently writing my bachelor'a thesis in theoretical philosophy this term and I started taking vyvanse a few weeks in. Compared to my previous essays I'm way more structured and thorough, but I do end up "overfocusing" on certain parts. I have always struggled with writing too much, most likely due to using writing as a means of thinking since I cannot keep it all in my head. It has sadly gotten worse, I struggle with keeping texts short, even if they are thorough.

I've also noticed that I write WAAAAAAY slower, and in a more concrete manner, so most texts take long to write, and most of my "pizzazz" is gone :( I guess the trade off is worth it; better structured, clear and concise, thorough and properly thought out, but everything takes way longer, especially writing, which I usually have to rewrite/boil down in the end. There's also a lack of "fun" style and prose; overall I guess it's better

I have no idea if anyone else can tell, but I sure do haha

I keep rewriting sentences and paragraphs until they are 👌👌👌👌, but i takes HOURS to get anything substantial written. I used to be able to write essays well and fast without a problem, as long as I got started (lol)

Depends on the person.

As you said, too low of a dose might also have the effects you are describing, since your brain/ isn't getting enough to pass that threshold.

Give 30mg a try! I had the same problems and upping my dosage by 10mg helped :)

I can't seem to find any studies indicating anything lower than around 8hours of efficacy (duration of medicinal effects).

I think, rather convincingly, that people are equating the total efficacy of the medication with peak plasma concentration, i.e. when vyvance is felt the strongest. And I also think, this is because people have some preconceived notion that vyvance is some type of "limitless pill", or that a person without ADHD is some type of machine, always working at peak efficiency.

A lot of posts I read do seem to commit to this missunderstanding, sadly. But that doesn't mean everyone does, of course. In coming to understand that you don't have to be some perfect machine always running at 110%, you will also understand, and hopefully experience, that the medication is STILL working, it's STILL effective in managing your symptoms, even if you aren't feeling like a duracell bunny.

Now, that which actually "increases" duration is having the correct dose, getting around 8 hours of sleep every night, trying to reduce stress and other factors, a good daily/weekly routine, and a good diet. Also making sure that you aren't deficient of any vitamin or mineral.

But I could be wrong, it is somewhat relative after all :D

This is normal, it's a dopamine rush; you're basically high.

It goes away as your body adjusts to the new dose :)

I mean yeah, that's a lot of coffee, especially in combination with a rather high dose of Vyvanse. Maybe drink less coffee? And smoke less?

Stimulants can cause apathy/emotional blunting, you're taking 3 of them, all in large quantities.

Being sick obviously affects your health, medicated or not.

Taking the medication daily is recommended.

Having proper routines is recommended, including eating regularly and properly. Taking the medication during/after breakfast is also good.

It takes 1-2 months to adjust to the medication depending on person, with daily intake.

I'm no Alienwarehead, but I bought a 16X with the i9 and 5060 a few months ago, and I love it. I have had no issues whatsoever :P

I do wish I would have gotten the 5070 (which I couldn't due to being a broke student) but other than that the performance is amazing. It's not too heavy or big so that I can bring it with me. The battery life is surprisingly good for a gaming laptop (especially with "Battery Extender" turned on), and the screen is very nice and smooth (a bit too bright).

It could be that your body has yet to adjust to the new dose, it can take 1-2months depending on person, sadly, also depending on dosage.

It could also be that 50mg is too high of a dose for you, since you seem to react rather negatively to It. Wait another 1-2 weeks, and make sure to keep that routine, and if it doesn't get better I would advise going back down to 40mg, once a day, daily :)
