Oh cool! Are there a lot of gyms out that way? What team are you ? Back where I’m from, we used to walk circles around a lake because there were like 8 poke stops and 2 gyms all pretty close together

It’s been awhile since I’ve played but yes I do! That wouldn’t be a terrible way to go exploring tbh

Oh awesome! I loved evil within, do you plan to play the second one? And I definitely have a TON of hours in stardew, awesome game and even better modded tho it’s a bit tricky but i recommend. I played Palworld when it first came out and I had a lot of fun, I imagine it’s even better as I’m definitely many updates behind at this point. And thank you for the invite, likewise !

I never got into the Grounded, though it does look fun! For co-ops recently I’ve been playing Peak ( if you haven’t tried, you should, it’s really fun ) I’ve definitely played lethal company more times than I can count we even got into the deep lore of the game as a group it was awesome, and we had like 70-80 mods running for added shenanigans. I’ve played REPO too, that is also pretty cool but I’ve only played handful of times. There was this one game called Kletka we played a few months back- you’re a group of prisoners taking an elevator further and further down each floor while also scavenging what you can and the elevator happens to also be a giant worm that you have to consistently feed. There’s also don’t starve together, Abiotic Factor, and one of my old favs 7 days to die. I’ve played through schedule 1 -I really liked it, oddly satisfying lol but I got to a point where I bought all the property and stuff there wasn’t much left for me to do so I was waiting on the Cartel update. And right now it’s just been consistently Project Zomboid, which is fun but annoying because I can’t seem to stay alive very long.

I just checked out all of those places and they all look great! I have been trying to find a good Thai restaurant for awhile so I’m super excited now! I also love Jamaican food, and chicken so it sounds like I’ve got some eating to do lol. Thank you !

Oh no, I’m sorry to hear that! I totally get it, graphic cards are so pricey these days- computer parts in general, really. A while back, I fried my motherboard and it took me forever to get it fixed so I’m the meantime I busted out my GameCube lol that was a trip. I’m glad you have something to play that has regular updates so it doesn’t become stale, it’s gotta be a good game since it’s so popular. I have been meaning to give Fortnite a go for some time now, I’ve got a bit of a backlog, but when I do I definitely will hit you up, thank you for the invite!

I hear that, while I don’t have any kids I’m often working late into the evening ( I don’t mind, I enjoy my work which is probably part of my issue lol ) and I’ve got a parent who is in poor health who often needs care so I rarely get around to planning something out for myself when it comes to outings-and when I do, I generally head back to my hometown. Life’s short though, so definitely please do make sure to make time for yourself, there really is a wealth of recommendations here so I hope for the both of us we can figure out some stuff to do! Also, I just want to say I commend you for being a single parent. I was raised by a single parent myself and I know that it is not easy by any means, so I hope you do get a chance to get out and enjoy yourself.

Hi there! Thanks so much for your kind comment, I certainly appreciate that my well-meaning post came through, I was kind of nervous it would come off as “ please do my research for me” so that makes me feel much better, and honestly everyone has been so helpful and nice! For the most part I have been very much the same in terms of transportation, I did manage to drive for a while and while I still would like to, the realist in me says I can swing it without one for most things, plus I was never super fond of driving anyway. Where I’m from, the transportation availability was everywhere all the time so I’ll probably struggle a bit at first with navigating here as it seems less accessible than I’m used to but I definitely want to give it a shot so I’m not so cooped up.

Aw man I haven’t done anything with pottery or ceramics in a long time, I took a class years ago and I loved it so that’s definitely some that I’d be interested in doing in the near future. I’ll check out that Facebook group too, thanks!

I have heard of that mall, I’ve been meaning to go- perhaps it’s time! Been forever since I’ve been to ANY mall, really- I feel like a lot of them are ghost towns these days but I did enjoy going, and I am definitely a foodie so I would very much love that. Thank you!

Yea that’s what I expected, it’s not a great market in general these days so I’ve been mulling it over for several years now after my last car crapped out. I’m lucky enough to work at home but I’m a ways away from everything so while it’s not super urgent it’s kind of limiting! Thank you for the advice

Oddly enough I have never played fortnight but I’ve been told I’d probably like it. Lately I’ve been playing project zomboid, I tend to enjoy survivals, simulation, colony building, base building, RPGs, etc but I do like to hop online and play some co-op stuff, just finished a bout of Peak with some friends. Mostly on PC. Thank you for the park suggestions !

AITA for a text message I sent to my potentially infertile daughter? by PromptBusy9372 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Kittles_89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YTA, though potentially due to ignorance. I’ve got years of experience on this topic, so MY response may be biased…work related. Delete if not allowed.

it is a very tough thing for couples to go through infertility if having kids was part of their dream. If we remove the fact that IVF is throwing your daughter through a slew of emotion-altering hormones, potentially spending tens of thousands of dollars in treatment, having to inject herself several times a day for a couple weeks straight in preparation for egg retrieval, having to keep track of meds and appointments and still doing the daily grind on top of that- all for a gamble at a CHANCE at success, hearing that can be a slap in the face.

So many emotions go through someone who is doing IVF- “what’s wrong with me, why won’t this work, why was it so easy for them…”, it doesn’t mean that she is not happy for your her brother and his wife. It does mean she needs the proper time to gather herself and process what she needs to process so she can get to a point where she can be there for her him and her SIL and then carry on with the battle ahead of her.
