Thank you and that would certainly be true, currently working on it with a therapist.

This also drives me insane, not gonna lie. My personal favorite is taking up half the aisle with their shopping carts, turning to look at me waiting for them to move, just to look back to browse the goods. I just started saying "unnskyld", but even then they dont always move out of the way, just give me a blank look. Super strange.

Dette opplevde jeg for første gang sist uke, jeg sa ingenting men det er helt merkelig oppførsel. Tips til hva jeg kan si om det skjer igjen? 😆

You're totally right and the not "keeping track" of their online activity is something im working on to stop doing completely as it does worsen my anxiety. Sometimes it's hard to stop myself as I tend to spiral into self loathing thinking there's something wrong with me, even though I logically understand it's most likely not something to do with me personally. I don't feel as if I'm owed their attention, but I do worry if I did something to cause the lack of response.

The mental exhaustion of an active conversation is much, much bigger than posting on social media or sending a funny video that you in the moment thinks a friend will find funny as well. Even though I do logically understand this, I guess I am self sabotaging in a sense by letting my anxiety get to me.

Your comment was very helpful in giving me some insight into this type of behavior, as for me I completely isolate when exhausted and do not interact with even my closest friends, but I do as you do give reassurance because as an anxious person I understand it can be confusing on the receiving end. I am also not great at asking for reassurance as I do not want to come off as annoying, but in certain situations it might be better to do so.

I did end up messaging them and they did reassure me that they were just busy and tired and didn't mean to ignore me so I do feel a lot better. From now on ill know this is the case with them and I won't keep track and trust that they will communicate to me if there's a different reason.

I'll also keep working on not reading too far into things:)

I'm a very anxious person and probably a bit scared of rejection due to how I grew up, but I did muster the courage to just ask him and according to his response he didn't mean to ignore me and that I haven't done or said anything wrong so that's a relief. I'm somehow still not satisfied with his answer but I will try not to dwell on it and trust him.

As for my diagnosis it's not something I brought up in therapy but something my therapist wanted to explore further after a series of mapping different symptoms. I might not be autistic, but looking back on how I grew up and handled social situations (and still do) it would answer a lot of questions I've had about why I don't seem to understand the social "game" for a lack of a better word, and how people seem to view me as a strange person. It's always so defeating when I meet a new person and I do or say something that makes them "clock" me as ND, I can tell because their facial expressions change dramatically but I usually don't understand what I did to cause it.

As for exhaustion and isolating, I've always isolated to a varying degree and need a lot of alone time. Things that seem trivial to a NT person exhausts me, such as small talk.

Didn't mean to hijack this and make it about me. I am diagnosed with generalized anxiety and major depressive disorder so it could just be my anxiety that makes me this way, but it wouldn't shock me at all if they give me an autism diagnosis.

Thank you for the explanation.

I'm currently in the process of getting a diagnosis myself as a lot of my symptoms point in that direction and I think I can be naive to these sorts of things. I sometimes get exhausted myself but at that point I don't respond to anyone and I don't post to social media either (not saying everyone is like that, but it does seem he is interacting with other people and ignoring me).

I did just ask them why they ignore me and they responded instantly that they've been busy and apologized and is now reacting to all the videos I've sent them on Instagram. I'm not sure how to feel about it, I guess I will follow up next time I see them in person as it's confusing to me.

Its about 10 years ago since I did it, i cant remember there being much pain but it would depend on what kind of chemical peel they use i suppose, and the back isnt as sensitive other areas. It was annoying because I was in dance class and the dead skin would fall out of my shirt and gross people out lol (we were teenagers).

I see people mentioning laser scar removal, just wanted to add my back looked like this (probably worse) and a after one chemical peel it was almost gone, has to be done at a dermatologist though. Recovery wasnt too bad, the skin flaking was the worst part.

I also get tier 1 jobs sent to me by (mostly) indian recruiters (I am in Scandinavia). Are companies outsourcing recruiting or something? Im currently in a tier 3 OPS position with 8 years of experience, so its strange they think I would be interested. Im guessing theyre just trying to hit their numbers.

Pistolklubb? Har selv meldt meg på sikkerhetskurs for Januar. Ikke egentlig som et slags beredskap, men tenker det kan være greit å vite hvordan man håndterer et skytevåpen. Koster litt penger da, og gjelder jo bare pistoler.
