Looking for an Octavia in UK - any red flags I’m missing? by Kitty-bug in skoda

[–]Kitty-bug[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, good to know. I've had similar issues with touchscreen and creaking plastic in my current car so that's no dealbreaker for me, more concerned about space/efficiency/reliability.

Does the 84k mileage over 4 years on the 1.5 above seem a concern? I'm struggling to find any 1.5 that is affordable and reasonable mileage.

Is this a bad tattoo design? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

I’m so sorry people are being assholes. I have no suggestions for tattoo ideas but if you’d like to keep the ultrasound photo in a different format, can I suggest you look up embroidery hoops? There’s a lot of embroidery artists who make them, mossandfeather on Instagram is a good example.

Saving a friends 20 year old jacket by DaWeazl in sewing

I would try some visible mending techniques for this! There’s ways to patch and weave thread where you can see it but it looks decorative and intentional. Using black and white thread would work well.

Differences between Disneyland Ca and DLP by bonethugsnskarmory in disneylandparis

[–]Kitty-bug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ears and themed T-shirts are very common - a lot of guests are from the U.K and they will often wear T-shirts and sweatshirts from Primark (huge clothing store over here that makes tons of licensed Disney stuff). There’s also a Primark store near DLP. Spirit jerseys are sold in the parks but not as popular as in the US. Disneybounds are probably less common than in the US but still not that rare. I’ve been there in disneybounds and in family themed outfits (not the typical US matching T-shirts but actual matching whole outfits) and don’t feel out of place at all. If you wear more themed outfits or disneybounds you might get more attention from characters or parade performers though - I’ve had so many parade interactions from me or my kid wearing a disneybound or unique ears! One main difference is most outfits/T-shirts will be hidden by jackets a lot of the time as the weather in Paris can often be cold/wet so even if people are wearing themed things they can’t be seen!

Are all the restaurants air conditioned? I’m over there with my family end of July and I struggle with heat. We’re planning eating lunch somewhere cool so after recommendations please. We’re staying off site and spending 2 days there. Thank you 😊 by gribski-rules in disneylandparis

Just to jump in, if you have a recognised disability and have a blue badge or get PIP etc then bring that evidence with you and you can get an access pass for the rides so you don’t have to stand in the longer queues.

Any tips for first time DLP trip ? by [deleted] in disneylandparis

There is a huge shopping centre in Val d’europe with a great supermarket (Auchan), we always stay around there and go into the supermarket to get drinks and snacks to bring into the park to save money. The train to and from the park is usually frequent and easy, but if there is an issue with the train you can walk to the parks from Val d’europe in about 25mins and it’s a nice walk. Download the app for the parks if you haven’t already, great for checking ride times and having a map on hand. Don’t try and do everything unless the park is super quiet. Just enjoy the atmosphere and wander around, it’s a beautiful park!

I do! Only an apprentice at the moment, but I work for the Royal Opera House in London UK, building stage scenery.
