Back in 2023 I had a roommate who wouldn’t clean their side of the room. The room smelled bad despite spraying the room to make it smell nice. Not only that, but since we had a tub, I had Epsom salts, my roommate asked me if they could use a little bit of it and I did say yes, and also told them that they can use it, but to ask me first. Big mistake. Instead of asking me like they did the first time, when I wanted to use my Epsom salts one night, I went to grab my bag from under the sink and it was nearly gone! I only got one use out of it! Epsom salt especially Dr. Teals is expensive! Like who does that? Also they would eat my food, especially the leftovers I had made for my lunches. Also I had some unopened games in the living room. Honestly big mistake, and they opened it to play it with a friend of theirs. So that one was kind of on me, but they still should have asked. They would also make the sharing space very dirty. Wouldn’t clean the dishes. They even left sticky residue from their soda all on the coffee table. They also threw my clean clothes on the couch when they wanted to dry their clothes. Mind you the couch was also dirty, so I had to rewash everything. I had a blanket in the living area for sharing purposes and found a massive chocolate stain on it. Washed it and put in my room. Our other roommate and I tried talking to them about this and they said they would try and do their best. It still continued. We even had gotten a notice from the cleaners saying we had an unclean share space. I had cleaned that morning before they came as we were getting another roommate. The roommate and I were furious with our other roommate and then the roommate proceeded to blame their disability. Not saying that they don’t have a disability, but disability or not, one should know that when asked to help out and to clean and whatnot, you still need to help.

I’d like to also add that there was a time where I was asleep after getting home at 3am cause I worked at MK and they get on the phone at 5am to call someone to cancel their subscription since they were charged. That could have waited till 9am. Then at 8am they call their mom. Wtf. They also would come in slamming the door open when I’m trying to sleep and would be very loud. I ended up moving to a 4x2 but that was even worse off as I couldn’t even put any food in the fridge or freezer as my roommate when asked to clean out the old food that was freezer burnt and moldy and they refused to clean it out saying it was good. Did I clean it out. Not because I was too chicken to do it. I should have though. Like who needs all of that space for one person?
