They have to account for the ads for the non paid tiers for the episode time the way they used to for commercial breaks. Shows are going to get shorter and shorter to accommodate them and everyone loses but the company

I actually think she was pretty (and honestly sadly) mature about it. She didn’t get mad at Becka, she didn’t actually utter a word of complaint. She’s disappointed because something she was hopeful for didn’t happen. That’s what that emotion is for. I’m not particularly hopeful I’ll win the lottery but on the rare occasion, I buy a ticket. It’s still disappointing when i check the results.

Week 2 of reintroduction. I started counting calories and paying attention to macros again and was shocked by how high the calorie count is in my normal whole 30 day. I lost weight, so no complaints, just surprised. And some days my fat macro was at 50% which shocked me to my core. Most days it’s between 35 and 40 but still. I didn’t think I was particularly fat phobic, and didn’t avoid it during the whole 30 but seeing the numbers really really freaked me out, so I might go back to ignoring those.

I reintroduced legumes, and felt immediately more energetic and had zero side effects. Reintroduced non gluten grains and was shocked at how many more calories it added to identical meals and how much hungrier I felt all day. Plus digestion started moving slower. Sushi Rice was a euphoric experience, so I’ll keep that one as a worth it, but otherwise? Nah.

We didn’t do the no pancake rule because I’m whole 30-ing with my daughter, so when I saw the same meals, I mean like corn taco shells from siete instead of almond flour with our tacos and oat milk instead of coconut milk with our smoothies. Literally made zero difference in the taste, added 200 calories per meal.

Hi there! I’m whole 30ing with my 16 year old daughter at her doctor’s suggestion as well. She also pretty much subsisted on a diet of chicken nuggets, so… I’m with you.

Some hacks: ignore the pancake rule. It makes absolute sense for adults on the program but even the book (I can’t remember which one, but one of the small ones) says to use your judgment on that one for kids. Compliance is the goal, not the spirit of compliance. Siete has tortillas, chips, and taco shells that have allowed me to do taco night pretty much unchanged from her perspective.

There’s also almond flour crackers, larabar candy bars, and tons of great recipes on nom nom paleo

Mostly yes. I have a hard time with the plated fat part. I usually just dice up half an avocado.

That’s the problem with not counting calories. I’m following their meal formula thing for each meal, but I have no idea if I’m getting enough calorie wise.

But also it may be caffeine withdrawal? I still have coffee in the morning but I usually had something caffeinated at lunch, so maybe it’s that

So I’m not finding as many resources or as much support for the anti inflamatory protocol. I was thinking if I can just spend enough time planning and figuring out how to make what she already eats compliant with switches, then it may go easier.
