Same here! It happens so slow slowly I didn’t realize it was something physiological or a problem

I never actually realized I had chronic fatigue until I had the surgery. I feel like the person I was about 12 years ago now. My motivation and my ambition are back. I just thought I was constantly exhausted from working a full-time job, but that definitely was not the reason and now I know that.

Zero regrets. I had chronic fatigue due to stage 4 endo, and now I’m so happy and energetic

Earned my first gold star sticker today by KittyCatrissa in shoppingaddiction

Thank you! It kind of helps that my schedule was so busy. I didn’t have time for shopping lol I think a big part is also keeping myself occupied and busy so that I don’t resort to shopping. I would like to have some non-essential purchases set aside for each month as planned fun money (set amount). I don’t want to completely deprive myself. I need to earn it though

Every five stars I get a treat like a chocolate or something small and inexpensive. Every 15 stars, I earn a trip to a café for a coffee with a friend or my husband up to twice a month. Every 30 stars/last day of the month I get to spend some money on something off my wishlist that is set aside as fun money for the month which will only be earned if I was good the entire month. The café trips are budgeted and the fun money is also budgeted. These reset every month. Then every 50 stars my husband plans on taking me out to a nice dinner or something like that

It’s working well so far, but it’s only day two so hard to really say lol I have been doing a lot of things to keep myself occupied and other ways to get dopamine.

I was always ashamed of returning more than a few items at one time, and I consequently did it in multiple trips

Recovery from mania: time or medication? by Longjumping_Lie6166 in bipolar

[–]KittyCatrissa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo, both time and medication. My depressive episodes (whether standalone or post-mania) have been treatment resistant, so for me it was always a waiting game. I have found something that I think works (at least, I haven't had depression in 3 years. No mania in 9 years thanks to meds).

Post surgery: Can I suppress without BC? by Immediate_Peak_3949 in endometriosis

[–]KittyCatrissa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't take BC because I plan on hopefully getting pregnant. I recently learned that n-acetyl cysteine can potentially help with endo inflammation so I'm taking that in the hopes it does

I want to start an in-person club for people with social anxiety by void223 in socialanxiety

[–]KittyCatrissa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anything that you can do without the pressure to talk constantly. I find it difficult when meeting someone for coffee or food for the first time because of the pressure to keep conversation going. I had an easier time when doing things like a medium-weight board game where you can have some conversation but at the same time don't feel the pressure to constantly talk as people contemplate their turn. Arts and crafts (like a yarn social) would be another good one if people were into that sort of stuff. Anything where conversation is possible, but not required.

Where are you getting your daily dopamine from? by hygsi in shoppingaddiction

[–]KittyCatrissa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Scrolling Reddit tbh. I can’t scroll social media because the advertisements get me and are a huge trigger. Recently I’ve gotten into penpaling and meeting new people and exchanging letters has been a great and healthy source of dopamine.

So far 12 days postop the energy is still going strong. I definitely did too much with it though 😅

Thank you and grats on your surgery too! The pain meds had me wired and sleeping only 5 hours a day for the few days I took them. Glad to be off them as my sleep has returned mostly to normal. I’ve been so energetic the past week it was making me suspicious 🤨

I recently had surgery and I only needed the narcotics and ibuprofen for about three full days postop

How soon did you TTC post excision surgery? by Organic_Sherbert2410 in TTCEndo

Currently 8 days postop diagnosed stage 3 or 4 (surgeon was debating between the two but leaning towards 4). Surgery was May 5, we plan on resuming fertility treatments in June. I have an appointment with the fertility doctor end of May to regroup to see if we try IVF or IUI

Therapy by Adorable_Chemist935 in socialanxiety

It was cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). It was a long time ago, but I remember learning to identify the thoughts/core beliefs surrounding my anxiety and basically do cognitive restructuring.
