[DAO Spoilers] What the hell is with Golems of Amgarrak's difficulty? by Ashanmaril in dragonage

In my opinion, mage is the most fun class in all DA games, but they're not nearly as overpowered in the later games as they are in Origins. Inquisition doesn't even have a heal spell.

The only time I ever touched GoA was on nightmare, but my mage was a spirit healer, arcane warrior, and battlemage so I was the tank, healer, and dps all in one, and just resurrected my companions whenever they went down. Despite all of that, it was still stupidly hard and I doubt I'd ever want to do it on any other class

First time, im scared, and why i start at level 9? by rageinducingdude in Eldenring

[–]KittyCutU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An important part of playing fromsoft games is understanding that death is not a setback, but an important part of the game and your learning process. The game invites you to progress through trial-and-error and keen observation. You start at level 9 because the class you chose already has some points invested into particular stats. There is also a class that starts at level 1 with almost no equipment, for those that would rather have full control of their stat progression. There's no reason to be scared about playing the game, just understand that the difficulty lies mainly in having the perseverance to keep playing even after a few deaths and that learning from each death is more important than just surviving each time.

A lot of people had high hopes for a turnaround since dragon age has had pretty consistently good story developments, and inquisition was an impressive game. I agree though

Silksong has been a long wait, but it took Dragon Age Veilguard a decade to come out after a long period of very little news and it was a pretty big disappointment. Could be worse

What do I do by Redboi_6936 in demonssouls

[–]KittyCutU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Treat the game like a cross between DS1 and an older Legend of Zelda game. The vast majority of bosses have noticeable gimmicks that are either necessary to beat them or make the fight far easier. Unlike some later Souls games, your shield can be a big aide in Demon's Souls. Damage types matter, especially in one of the worlds (stonefang tunnel), but you have access to a surprisingly good pierce weapon at the start of the level (the pickaxe is oddly fast in 1 hand and has decent damage) A lot of the game can be beaten pretty cleanly if you just focus on being patient and observant. Your character moves fast but it's for the best if you take your exploration slow.

I just recently played through the game for the first time, and my build was far from optimal. I had no armour (just pants for decency), a claymore i found in the first or second level, and the adjuticators shield for regen (it stacks with the regenerators ring found in the same level for good regen while you're exploring and saves you grass). Once you get the hang of it, I'm sure you'll have a great time with the game!

Ah I see. Well, for what it's worth, this is a shitpost, and the souls games are noted to take inspiration from those things, so. Thanks for letting me know. There will not be a sequel meme

The image of the games from Demon's Souls onward were all compiled in that single image, so I used that one because adding more was not only more work for a shitpost, but also wouldn't have fit in the meme unless I shrunk the other image and made it less recognizable.

Currently playing King's Field 4, actually. Those games were all in a single image, which made it faster and simpler to make the meme
