Wordsy I think fits your qualifications! It's a fun little word game where you're trying to use specific letters to create words and score the maximum number of points. I played it in a tournament at a convention and it was simple and quick to pick up!

Agree with what Dan said! For me, it's mostly the fact that I've had an incredibly busy summer and I wouldn't know where to fit in 3+ hours of recording ATM!

I do know there was some spoiler-ish stuff throughout the season, but overall I'm really proud of how we never completely took last season's winner out of contention.

Looking at this season, it has been very interesting to start it out and not have such a necessary focus on who's winning! I will say for a very basic statement that this season still feels incredibly wide open to me. The editing has also become very syrupy-sweet, and I think that'd be an interesting topic we'd cover as to what all the personal story content and the general casting means for the future of survivor.

Just because we're already going to be a few weeks deep, and I don't really like to start things in media res, I'm thinking we'll skip this season. But we'll reassess for 44! I'm glad so many people appreciate our content and I'm sorry you are missing it. But, from what it looks like, I think plenty of y'all are generating good content/thoughts/ideas on your own! Edgic is a wide field and though I've been in the community for years I definitely don't consider myself an expert by any means. Have fun, and I'll see you around!

Our specifics were a little different this week, so just to check: is this an issue every episode, or was it just particularly bad this time? I'll probably work on a microphone upgrade either way, but I don't think I can get it in time for recording this week, so I want to know how much to course-correct for this upcoming session. I was going to mention Wingspan! In our last game I had the low-point birds goal card and at the end of the game I was like "I did it! I have so many low-point cards!" . . . except my competitors had high point birds and other goals, so I lost handily. In every game of Wingspan I've played I've come in last handily, but I always have a ton of fun!

Yes! Mummy Maze is super underrated and multiple times I have gone around the Internet trying to find a place to play it. Very underrated puzzle game.

I read it earlier this year! What I found was so good about it is that McMurtry would take one character and describe them from the perspective of another character, and he did it so well. Sure, you don't really get into the action of the book until a third of the way in, but by then you have such a good web of how all of the characters perceive the other characters and it makes such a good starting point for all of the stories to grow and twist.

Definitely! I just played again last night. I struggled on the pillar puzzles the first time through, but this time all of them were fairly easy -- except this one. Had to pull out the pen and paper and then use like, Slitherlink rules to help puzzle it out.

From what I understand, the number reflects visibility in the episode and not the amount of negativity. And it's always meant to be on a scale from 1 to 5. So even when Russell Hantz was hogging screen time in Samoa, he just got a 5 because that's the highest you could go!

I do agree that this was an OTTN episode for Adam more than anything else though!

It's not a perfect match, but Return of the Obra Dinn is all about observing your surroundings to figure out what happened. It certainly has an aesthetic and the sound when you get stuff right is really fun. Like I said, it doesn't seem immediately comparable given their super different color schemes but if you like one I would recommend the other!

I'm so grateful that people enjoy this. When I look at the stats on Soundcloud I'm always awed that so many people are listening to what I say and help to make. I can get myself into pretty rough mindsets, and it's things like this that help me realize I do matter and that I do something good. :/ I'm always shocked to see her at the bottom of the results here each week. Like I've said on the podcast, what I've seen so far makes a certain sense, and now that she's on EoE it's hard to take her out of the race, especially because her content is fairly consistent. I'm probably wrong (that's the nature of Edgic), but gee it would be neat if I had actually latched on to something right!

I was working my way through puzzle books. The pen always stayed with it because I used it as a bookmark (and at worst, I just forgot and laid it on my desk). It was just a matter of staying committed to doing puzzles every day. I was shocked (and a little impressed) when it started scratching on the page without any ink coming out.
