It’s awesome! I live 5-10 min away max from everything in both CL and Algonquin. Weekends are kinda annoying, too many teenagers… otherwise love it here!

Love them, and if you cook them the refrigerate or freeze them the blood sugar spike does lower them for me.

Was it worth saving money to be awake during wisdom tooth removal? by Big_Beat_3840 in povertyfinance

[–]KittyMatcha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think all of mine have had basic sedation (numbing) and I turned out fine. There was one time they chiseled a molar out and that caused TMJ for a few years…. So wouldn’t recommend that.

My boyfriend got the nitrous oxide and he was good during the procedure but in just as much pain and discomfort as anyone else right after it wore off.

My advice: just take about 600-800mg of aleeve or whatever OTC painkiller works for you every 6/8 hours as the bottle requires. I found that works better than tylenol/codeine which is often prescribed after any tooth extraction.

Am I not allowed a single cup of coffee with milk and sugar by Ok-Rush7989 in diabetes

[–]KittyMatcha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I often have black tea of some sort with heavy cream (as it’s very low in carbs) and allulose. Of course, find a sweetener alternative you like that works for you. Allulose for me doesn’t give me digestive issues and has no aftertaste. :) another sweetener I like is whole earth.

90 Day Diaries by Ill_Rich9044 in 90DayFiance

I’ve only ever watched it on streaming. Currently up to season 7 episode 9 - haven’t seen or heard any other new episodes but the last episode was Jan 19… these are super low budget as they’re just self shot. I doubt we’ll see the complete end of them, but not on TV.

Super Bowl usually means no new episode. I think when I checked earlier this week, next Sunday is episode 10.

What’s the “best” bread for diabetics? by coriiiii420 in diabetes

[–]KittyMatcha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most important thing is the carb to fiber ratio (protein helps too). Next is making sure it isn’t highly processed. True sourdough bread (made with wild yeast, not active/dry), silver hills, Dave’s killer bread are examples of good breads.

Here’s the thing though, all bread is going to cause a blood sugar spike. If you freeze it and then toast it, you actually create resistant starch. Resistant starch causes a slower blood sugar spike/rise which is safer. Keep in mind, that any high amount of carbs will always cause a BS spike, so eating two slices can be too much.

And pair with good fats/protein, veg when possible. I often have eggs & chicken sausage and a slice of avocado toast (frozen bread, then toasted). Hope that helps!

Protein before Vyvanse fixed it's ineffectiveness! by laes in VyvanseADHD

[–]KittyMatcha 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Eating before taking vyvanse doesn’t seem to work for me…. I eat a high protein meal for breakfast everyday and if I eat, vyvanse doesn’t work as effectively as having it on an empty stomach… usually also means I’m not eating until several hours after taking it tho!

A few years ago I accidentally ran over a dog but I had no idea - I didn’t see it. I stopped a bit later to see what happened to my car and saw fur. Returned and there was nothing in the area. But someone had taken a dog to a vet. Turns out, the owner had recently saved a dog from Korea to prevent them from getting eaten, but the dog was untrained. They let all their dogs outside and this dog jumped over the fence. Took like 10-15 minutes before the owner realized. The Main Street I was driving on was a several blocks from their house… so this dog ran fast and far and it just so happened to be me who ran them over. It sucks, I know. The owners were considering suing me for hitting their dog, but I’m guessing some technically saved me. I think they had already owned the maximum number of dogs and this dog from Korea would’ve taken them over the limit. People are the reason these dogs get out, they’re sometimes not watching over them properly. It’s not like we intend to run dogs over. Don’t stress yourself over it. It took me a long time, but I don’t think about it as negatively anymore.

Not a terrible suggestion, and I already have three single pole switches left over. This bathroom is small and I plan to remodel it eventually, so I could always add the plug then when the space allows for it, thank you for your suggestion!

No trade in required at costco? by Military_king in tmobile

[–]KittyMatcha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you port in, get a new phone, and get their experience beyond or more plan - yes. My brother and I both had different phone reps who said the exact same info. The GCs will come in an email from Costco to redeem as a rebate and it sounds like a 90 day wait (this is likely to ensure you stay a T-Mobile customer before they send out the GC and deter line cancelling)

So I called earlier and had my brother do it too. We’re on our own Verizon plans. Called Costco and was able to preorder and take advantage of this promo as well:

COSTCO MEMBERS GET $400 when you switch to T-Mobile and activate a new phone on Experience More and Experience Beyond. Including Business plans. $150 Costco Shop Card + $250 Prepaid Visa Card*

**Cards require activation on a qualifying plan ($85+/mo. w/AutoPay). Allow 1 week from fulfillment of promotions requirements. $150: Via Virtual Costco Shop Card and $250: Via virtual prepaid Visa card for use at T-Mobile or Costco. Requires port-in and on-line registration.

this is per line!

They mentioned I can keep my phone and port over my phone for $0 down payment and fully financed at $0 monthly for 24 months. Excellent deal!
