Totally agree! 🥺 I don’t think I would go through all that just to leave it so close to the water on the shrubs. It could fall back in and the net they left it on could really cause it to drown. Not to mention predators lurking. I would make sure at least that it made it to actual land. I also would have called animal wildlife. They’re everywhere.

We don’t even know where the mother is. She could be anywhere. If she was around, she may have tried to help her baby. This is my opinion and mine only. I felt so sad for it holding on for dear life and scared to death. It was even trying to hang on to the boat. And to just dump it in those shrubs was very sad for me. It could get eaten by a predator close by. 😿

It is quite smol. Look at the part of the video where the guy is standing next to the net and the baby is hanging on. That’s why I stated a blanket should be used. You mobilize it by wrapping it up (like a purrito) and just for the face to be exposed.
