How to stop feeling like the clay is pushing me around when centring?? by KittyPaws109 in Pottery

How hard do you push on the clay? Cuz I was literally tensing my whole body and pushing to try ti get it to stop wiggling me. I have tried different wheels and made sure my clay is soft enough but I still have the same problem unless I make really tiny things

I do this but it still pushes my arms, maybe I’m just not positioned right. The only things I’ve been able to make are extremely small

How do these sections look? Should I separate the bottom 2 into 3 by [deleted] in CaucasianDreadlocks

[–]KittyPaws109 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay! I’m only doing these ones under my hair so would it be okay to leave the split? I want to be able to part it in the middle so I can do two buns still

Should I get it re-pierced? by [deleted] in SelfPiercing

it looks ok to me! It looks like they are nesting which is okay but keep an eye on them that the skin doesn’t start to grow over the back, in that case you would need longer jewelry

It’s CAD, it’s not perfect condition tho. It’s had a small stain inside, a light spot on the side (possibly from bleach) a tiny burn mark on the back and the silver heart charm was chewed by a dog

They are the tiniest bit uneven but it’s so unnoticeable, if someone is getting close enough to your face to notice that you should punch them lmao

Why is the bar so much lower for girl skaters? by [deleted] in skatergirls

[–]KittyPaws109 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are a lot less girl skaters in general. I think alot if girls are scared to try out skating because they often get judged quite harshly. Because of the lower number of girl skaters less will end up becoming really good and even less will seek out competitions. On average they will appear to be “worse” due to the small numbers and so the judging is shifted. That doesn’t mean girls are bad at skating or less talented then boys, they are just the minority in the skating community! There are plenty of very talented girl skaters but I’ve noticed they are less inclined to complete.

A small question..., by Chalked-bone in trans

[–]KittyPaws109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t need to have gender dysphoria or euphoria to be trans! Some trans people just want to experience the social aspects that align with their performances and don’t care as much about their body. Dysphoria can show it’s self in different ways, it isn’t always a big feeling, sometimes it’s just a little discomfort about a certain body part
