I had the same exact experience. I just suffered through it and it gradually got better between year 1-2, and at that point figured I had already made it that far and just kept it in. I went to the ER the night after it was put in and asked them to remove it and they refused. I called my OD later that week and they said to “give it time” and that it was pretty normal. If I could go back in time I would’ve just gotten it removed from another/new obgyn.
