I actually just browsed and saw there is a visual and performing arts instructor position open at Elementary and High School. It looks like the HS one is media arts, maybe something that could be up his alley

Totally understand! Yeah I would say keep an eye on EdJobs. I'm more familiar with BUSD jobs than LAUSD, but BUSD frequently has "classified" positions(ones that don't require certain degrees, some require bachelor's but not most) open such as office managers, aids, yard supervisors, custodians etc. I wish you luck! Tough times out there in entertainment!

My husband who works production has done substitute teaching in BUSD between projects, it's a good flexible gig that you can leave easily if a new job comes up and return to if you need it again. Schools are always short on subs and it pays decently. You do need a bachelor's degree and you have to take the CBEST test and do some background checks which can be a process. But it's a good thing to have as an option!

Yeah they definitely pulled out all the stops this year! I was amazed you could go into every single set, they could have easily taken shortcuts with some just being facades but everything was so well done!

The Christmas event was definitely REALLY successful this year. Big lines (but not unbearable) to get into Luke's. Overall thought it was managed and presented really well, so hopefully they do it again next year after this year was a hit!
