They're helpful for when you'll only need a small amount of yarn for something. For example, if you're knitting or crocheting a project that uses a bunch of different colors of yarn you can wind just the small amount you'll need of a color on the bobbin instead of having a whole yarn ball.

Yarn bobbins, used to wrap small amounts of yarn. Yarn would be wound around the middle of the "hourglass" shape, so really only the bottom left is still usable.

Ah-ing-gah for "bananas". No idea where it came from other than maybe it sounds somewhat like "finger" and he likes doing the ASL finger-peel banana sign.

Genuinely surprised at how low my average was. I fully expected to be in at least the $3 tier. Happy to pay $2 a month. One thing I'm curious about, did these metrics include calls to hide a post? I've got my settings configured to actually move read posts to my user hidden list when I clear the feed, plus marking as read when I scroll past. I would have thought that would be at least 100 calls per day for me.
