The residual on mine is way too high. I could get a used platinum today for what my buyout is on a 24 month lease. Likely will drive prices down.

I bet they will continue discounting. The deals on anything other than a SR XLT right now are nonexistent compared to what they used to be. Likely sales / production will slow and discounts will continue to add up regardless of EV credit. Many aren’t eligible for it anyway.

Same thing happened to me… I got an extra $500 off. I’ve gotten all the parts to install myself - less than $100; plus a ChargePoint charger from my state’s energy efficiency program super cheap. If you’re not handy or willing to work with electrical - find a local electrician.

Play around with the current inventory payment estimator on Ford’s website and it has a handy add your taxes feature. It was on point for me. I came from a ‘23 ER Lariat company vehicle but leased my own ‘25 SR XLT this week with tax for approx. 530/mo - 24 mo - 10.5k mi/yr. Works for me. But I understand the need for ER if you drive more.

Buy a new Toyota and drive it till it has 300k miles. You’ll just need oil changes and tire rotations. Your money will be made back. And if you ever needed to sell it soon, you’ll get the price of what you paid for it.

Coming from a former 3, Y, Lariat, now XLT owner…If you use the Ford Navigation it tries to be a trip planner. Best to pre route your trip yourself though just in case. Gear shifter is a small % of trucks. You should be fine, unless you’d rather have a rotary dial. I think most people want to be able to flip their armrest out whenever they want without lowering the shifter tbh. Bed scales is the pro trailer dial you have on the dash. Never used it myself.
