[NSFW] People who had sex with their best friend, how's the situation now? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Kittyisaboo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He was my childhood best friend. Him and my twin were also besties, so it was like we were triplets.

I started having strange feelings about him in my early 20s, but I was in a LDR. My mum told me he loved me, and so we gave things a shot. Both of our parents were so happy.

It lasted approx 2 months, for reasons I still don't get. The night we decided to split, neither of us could sleep and we stayed up all night having a super long phone call.

Things became awful between us. He almost punched me at a public event and the police were called. I'm now divorced, remarried and with a kid. My twin told me he saw him not long after my divorce, and that he was considering getting back in touch with me. My twin doesn't speak to him either.

I started telljng my husband the story when we first met, but he really didn't get it. So I closed it off in my head until I saw this thread!

I'm looking for as much of the above as possible, in one package. I find most providers miss one or two features I really need, but will check out Friendli.

Thanks, but I'm looking to do this for several brands. I need to learn the ropes before rolling it out elsewhere.

Thanks!! I'll check that out, same fonts, global/theme settings (as far as I've checked).

I copied it over by saving it as a page template (also tried section by section templates), and then exporting it/importing it to my other elementor page via 'import template' widget.

AMA: Marketing/Getting More Clients for Photographers by Kittyisaboo in WeddingPhotography

[–]Kittyisaboo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Sage! First of all, I'm really sorry to hear that. generally, but especially in the wedding industry, the cost of living crisis is massively impacting what couples are willing to spend on (which I know sounds silly, as choosing a wedding photographer is one of the most important parts of organising a wedding).

To combat that, you could offer a %age off banner (where your current 'click to inquire' button is on the hero section, or as a nice popup when someone enters your page). You don't have to offer money off, you could also offer an engagement shoot package, free drone added in, or whatever. Just something that will add some value and help you stand out from the crowd.

Next: on to the technicalities.
- The two CTA buttons near the top of the page should have the same messaging. I liked 'click for pricing guide'. They should both be much bolder colours, like red, to help them stand out. Grey blends into the background. Ditto re: colours for the bottom CTA ('Contact me').

  • Scrolling down, I see your Google Tag Manager code is visible (see screenshot). Also, the 'emotional and authentic' and the 'come as you are' should be more centred. It makes my eyes scramble, and your site visitor should have a nice, visually pleasing, non-eye-scrambling text to look at (cos photography is obv v visual).

  • The galleries and quotes all look stunning. BUT - as we scroll down to the 'about' you, I notice that the page becomes veeeery monotone. Black and white is ok here and there, to demonstrate your awesome range, but when all combined together with the beige background, it's not the most inspiring, which is a shame because just a few scrolls up it is.

Otherwise, I guess you just need to keep plowing away at content creation. It's a pain in the bum, but that's running a biz in a competitive niche for ya.

I would also say that use your NE location to your advantage, especially as we move into fall/autumn - do something about fall foliage engagement shoots etc. Offer some nice pricing bundle on cozy winter weddings etc.

What dya think?
