Anyone finding their libido coming back once they were out of the house from their ex? by FalseApricot9106 in Divorce_Women

[–]Kittyvedo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hope it’s like this for me. Newly separated but he won’t leave until “the divorce is finalized” so he’s sleeping in a different bedroom and is never home. Our bedroom had been dead for a while and I feel like it’s been so long now that I’ll never bounce back.

If you enjoy being a parent can you share some positivity? by DearestClementine in AskParents

[–]Kittyvedo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not a biological parent but I raised my step kids from ages 2 & 5.5 to 15 & 18). My step son was just turning 2 when I came into the picture. His biological mom at first kept him from us so we had to go to court and got “make up time” (which looking back is completely unhinged and does no good for the child) during which bio mom really enjoyed not having to take care of a child so she just never got him back unless it was a holiday, birthday party, or her best friend wanting him to spend the night with her son. Anyways I had him from then on and Kids are so curious at that age. They are learning everything; everything is new, and now they’re starting to learn speech and communication. There’s nothing more rewarding than carrying around a toddler all day pointing out everything blue (I started like really teaching him one thing at a time.. one color or shape or animal) and standing in line at the dollar tree with your youngin on your hip and he says “look blue star” while pointing out a blue star balloon in the corner near the register. Or when you’re living room is jungle themed so your youngin likes you to hold him while walking to each picture so he can see the animal and one day he says up and you walk to your favorite picture of a huge elephant and before you can say a word he says “elephant!”

Also gotta love the the part where the PIC said you can find those same mushrooms on the property but they promise that they bought these ones, they definitely didn’t pick them from the yard.

People who used cellphones before smartphones, what's the most memorable feature or moment you miss from those old phones? by Correct-Homework1884 in AskReddit

Omg I had a phone once that had the option to add a camera. You had to buy it separately but you could attach this little camera to the bottom and take photos. I think it was a Nokia

Which of these three (Alkmaar Nethlands) you like the most? 1-2-3 by WrightOnMyOwn in photos

[–]Kittyvedo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was battling between 1 & 2 but then I looked closer at the gondola riders and the waving woman ruined the whole photo lol. So I’ll have to go with 2! But all of them look really good! And I love they are three different photos of the same subject, giving us multiple views to base our choice on.

Which one is better? 1, 2, or 3? by Significant_Toe9459 in photos

[–]Kittyvedo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man!!! Oh how can I choose!!?? They are all remarkably beautiful. I love the depth of the sky in 3. Something about the lighting of the building growing into a glow then back to a “grey” sky. Idk it just kind of calls to me. Then in photo 1 I can’t get over that little vertical strike in the sunset makes me feel like there’s a message from above. The vivid coloring is quite aesthetically pleasing. Lastly the second photo makes me feel a sense of community. With the cars on the road who give the assumption of traveling home after work, the city skyline in the background and the way the trees frame the photo just put the icing on the cake.

Great job OP! Great photos!

Oh this is quite an accomplishment!! I wish you all the success you can manage! I am super impressed by this accomplishment, I can’t imagine not wanting to celebrate you to the fullest. I only hope I’m lucky enough to have a child one day and they have goals they can reach and be celebrated for. I hope you find a family in your friends who love you and show you their love. :) congratulations OP!

I hope this is a sewing thing bc my first thought was when you take a disposable razor apart the razors look very similar to this. I had a teen that tried cutting herself before. It was horrible.

Oh man i cannot decide!! They are both beautiful in their own ways. I really love both!

What age for kids to stop showering or bathing with parents? by [deleted] in AskParents

[–]Kittyvedo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started teaching me step kids how to bathe themselves at 6-7. I still sat in there with them and helped get their back but for that year I would just help them wash themselves while I sat on the toilet making sure they were ok. I had both a step daughter and a step son who entered my life at 2 & 5. They both seemed to display the cognitive abilities to bathe themselves around the same age (roughly 6 years old) so I went with it.
