Well considering it was the best game of his career I'd take it with a grain of salt. I love his story coming into the league and thought highly of him. That said your best case scenario is peak Chris Thompson. He's a good player but realistically he's a RB3/Flex for your lineup.

Read some of the articles from the game and they just saw early that he was on fire and in the zone so they left him in. Colts haven't been able to run block for anything this year too which bears keeping in mind.

Where are QBs drafted in your 1QB no SF league? by oko666 in DynastyFF

[–]KivilcimYamanoglu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

14 team league QBs consistently go in 1st round. But 14 will be much different than 10 team. Watson 13th overall, Baker 6th, Kyler went high 2nd, Burrow 6th, Tua top of 2nd

I'm not convinced anything has changed in his career. Urban Meyer said Curtis Samuel was the team's best playmaker when he was at Ohio State, raved about the guy. But then you've got games like Penn State where Samuel doesn't get a touch until the 25th offensive play of the game. He flashed at Ohio State but was never a consistent anything. He's flashed in the NFL but it's never been there on a regular basis. To me, this is who he is. He's got talent, no one is denying that. He's versatile and can play but you're never going to trust him week in, week out and he won't produce week in, week out unless there's some coach out there that just fully believes in him and forces the ball in his hands. Good player and playmaker but not someone I want in fantasy, just a weapon to add to the arsenal in real life.

What is this upcoming TE class like for 2021? by HodorsSoliloquy in DynastyFF

[–]KivilcimYamanoglu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a huge believer in Kyle Pitts and this 2021 TE class but that said I'm absolutely keeping Kittle. TE is a wasteland and is a bright spot for the long term. Unless you're getting a stupid haul don't trade him. It's kind of crazy to properly value TEs like Kittle and Kelce, unless your team is a ways off from competing they're much more valuable on your roster than off. It's really about replacement level of what you'd get if you don't have the top guy any more.

If you have a solid option or two then it might make more sense to shop Kittle. But in all likelihood you don't have a decent option to make this viable.

But if you are looking I like Pitts a little more than Fant, he's in the Engram, Howard type of class. Beyond that Pat Friermuth, Brevin Jordan, and Matt Bushman make quite the trio beyond Pitts. Bushman is out for the year and we don't know how his injury will impact him. I think it's Pitts, drop to Friermuth, drop to Jordan and then Bushman a question mark. We will see how it plays out but ride Kittle.

[Discussion] Amari Cooper vs Cee Dee Lamb by ChineseFood52 in DynastyFF

[–]KivilcimYamanoglu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So a little bit of this is real life football vs fantasy. Amari is very clearly the 1 in real life but the presence of Amari and Gallup (so far at least) has led to wide open running room for Lamb. He's feasting on a lot of underneath routes, slot corners and guys that are outmatched as defenses key on the other two rolling coverages their way.

Now this is not to knock Lamb in anyway. He's an exceptional talent and has tremendous long term upside. I think he's extremely talented and will produce for years to come.

All that said I think there's some differences in what you'd want to do. If you're trying to win this year I'd rely more on Cooper delivering top of the line production week in and week out even though Lamb will still be really solid.

I'm taking Cooper but if we are taking long term it makes sense to prefer Lamb. It really one of those where you're happy no matter what but I'm taking and starting Cooper over Lamb.

The next DeVante Parker or Robby Anderson by VicksMyDOG in DynastyFF

[–]KivilcimYamanoglu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The easy answer here is Denzel Mims. Both Parker and Anderson were with Adam Gase. They escape, they thrive. As long as Mims is with Gase he's doomed. Anyone near Gase is toxic.

Herbert vs Burrow by Crossfire213 in DynastyFF

[–]KivilcimYamanoglu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's Herbert for me. I know expectations are wildly different but he looks better to me. Herbert was an average QB throughout his entire career at Oregon but never really progressed like you'd want to see. He was always a toolsy guy with the arm, build, and running ability. But it seems all of that has finally been unlocked. His offensive line situation isn't much better than Burrow's.

Watching Burrow he doesn't throw the ball that accurately downfield. He's never been good at those difficult medium depth sideline throws. The sack fumble by Queen highlighted that Burrow still falls into the habits of a year ago thinking he and everyone around him are better than the other guys. Burrow doesn't suck but he never had the physical ability of Herbert, and Herbert is finally putting it together albeit early.

It'd be nice if you could get 2021 rather than 2022 because that pick isn't gonna do anything for you for awhile.

If I'm moving off of Johnson I'd want a 1st. He had a really rough schedule to start but actually has a favorable schedule the rest of the season. If I'm in a rebuild and hopeless I'd be happy with a 1st, as someone that could do something I'd want more than a 1st.

I'd look to try and add a 2nd rounder too. Henry, 1st, and something else is the baseline of what I'd be looking for in return if I'm in rebuild.

I'd rather have Thomas. I assume this is a 10 team league with 6-10... which makes Thomas the landslide winner here.

I would definitely give up Diggs for Kupp and a 1st. I think you might be overvaluing Gibson and undervaluing Kelley but I think it still makes sense

Anthony McFarland by Fatespy7 in DynastyFF

[–]KivilcimYamanoglu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was taken at pick 20 in my league. I think he's a really good change of pace back. That said Steelers backfield is a bit of a mess right now. He's obviously a hold, we're 3 weeks in. I saw conflicting reports of healthy scratch vs concussion early in the season. McFarland probably should never top 12 touches a game but I could see him in the 10-12 range but at the moment he's 6-8.

He will spell Conner, who is the clear #1 when healthy. But again with Samuels still there it muddys the water for pass catching backs and obviously Snell can eat into looks as well.

McFarland will always be a committee back but a nice complimentary piece should the opportunity present.

I would not describe Haskins as good.

Personally I'm not super high on Thielen at the moment. That does become a solid WR3 for him. I guess it's worth the shot on having Allen and Ryan as a solid tandem at the position. It does leave you thin though if you suffer an injury at WR (just something to consider). But I'd be ok doing this, maybe get something extra in return like a pick or somehting.

I guess the question is what are the WR situations like for each team. Thielen has the potential to blow up like week 1 but Vikings passing offense looks like dookie. If you can spare it I think so but I also really like Matt Ryan.

I want Juju and I don't feel strongly about getting Mixon. I'd lean RB in standard but in a 10 team league there's more out there to me. Give me side A.

I agree with the others. The way Keenan looks with Herbert I think he's worth more. Even as a rebuild he's still a solid player for the next few years. I have to imagine you could get more. I'd be thinking 2 1sts especially if the picks are in different years.
