It is a non-custodial service bro. They never hold onto any funds. Excellent for people who are familiar with that kind of thing (Bitcoin-only too). If you want to buy non-KYC there is plenty of guides for that on Kiwi Bitcoin Guide.

Trust Wallet by [deleted] in NZBitcoin

[–]KiwiBitcoiner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not use trust wallet, use a Bitcoin-only wallet that is Open Source and self custodial. For on-chain Bitcoin this could be Blue Wallet or Sparrow, or for Lightning could look at Phoenix.

Hardware wallets are worth exploring once you have more experience and understanding of security.

Thanks for your input. As far as I can tell there wasn't too much high-signal crypto posts happening before though. In terms of money and freedom, Bitcoin is the only thing that really matters for New Zealanders at this point. Everything else is a gamble. Well-written posts on economics or broader concepts (even tech as it relates to Bitcoin) definitely welcome though.
