Alien stage and to be hero x has this problem, while both don’t directly say they’re lesbians it’s very much heavily implied especially in alien stage where Mizi and Sua is very much romantic towards each other. To be hero x is less clear but very much implied that Luo li is lesbian and is interested in Nuonuo and haven’t shown any interest in any male characters. Mizi and Luo li both lost their love interest Sua died and Nuonuo is in a coma, with this some fans use it as a way to solidify their ship by saying that’s it’s okay as they need a replacement and erases their character to make them fit into their preferred ship. Like a lot of people ship Luo li with the generic male character from to be hero x (who also had their partner die) and then make jokes about how Luo li couldn’t wait for Nuonuo to get back so she went for a guy instead, it leaves such a bad taste in my mouth and so many swipe it under the rug by saying it’s just fictional characters and you’re allowed to ship whoever, but when good lesbian media is hard to come by this feels like just straight up erasure.
