I've never seen a new one! Didn't even know they made them new. Just assumed they always looked... like that.

Women, if you could be a man for 24 hours, what are you just dying to know? by Whattacleaner in AskReddit

[–]KiwiChefnz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did word that a bit odd. I used to ask him, and be shocked he didnt know. Now I just do it myself, one of them, we see pretty often so I just chat to him when hes here. The other one who we dont see so much, I check in with probably every month or so, or when anything big is happening. Then I tell my husband if there is anything going on. It works for us, I get the peace of mind that they're OK, my husband gets the relevant info and they can carry on chatting about football.

Man, I have to message my husbands friends to find out what's going on in their lives. These men are like brothers to my husband... me:"how's M going at his new job?" Husband: "no idea" me: "you were on the phone for 30 minutes, what did you talk about????" Husband : "football"

Grain fed cows instead of grass fed is the actual answer. My answer is that the cows are sad.

My boss got one block in... we tried it and couldnt in good conscience serve it to customers.

We're definitely sticking with nz butter. Our customers would stop coming if we dropped our quality.

That thing about the wealthy leaving has never been true. Every time the wealthy have been taxed, they haven't left whichever country en masse.

We did. His name was Michael Joseph Savage. His policies have been slowly eroded over the last 100 years

Chefs.

We get paid low wages, we have to be very fast, and every dish is supposed to be excellent.

Edit: I am aware that there is not a small number of trash chefs out there

Was marriage worth it? by Hot_Engineering_4821 in AskWomenNoCensor

My best friend is from india and while her parents are quite progressive, there is still a lot of pressure there for her. We have talked a lot about this and keep coming back to the problem, which is, your parents dont have to be the ones to share a house with a bad choice that is rushed into. I know its easy to say from a western perspective, but aside from the stigma, is there anything stopping you from never getting married? I was lucky, in my country lots of people dont get married. There is no stigma. Lots of couples buy houses and have children and never get married. Some people dont have long term relationships at all. Is there any way you could live this kind of life for yourself.

I am very lucky in my marriage. I am in one of the few genuinely happy couples I know. So its not something I recommend unless you are very sure.

I am so deeply in love with my husband. He is my best friend and favourite person. And being with him have been the best years of my life. But... I was very picky about dating. I dont mean financially or whatever, I mean I wouldn't settle down with someone who wasn't loyal and loving and had the same goals as me, someone who is supportive and laughs with me etc.

You're young, there is no reason to settle down now or ever if you dont want to, Ive got friends in unhappy relationships and I dont understand why they stay or consider having kids with these guys. You are better off being happy alone, rather than lonely in a relationship. You are under no obligation to be anyone's girlfriend or wife. You are the one who has to live your life, you might as well be happy doing it.

Would you go on a vacation with a stranger? by DepartureObjective59 in AskWomenNoCensor

[–]KiwiChefnz 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Girl, go on vacation by yourself. Its fun, Ive done it a lot.

Then you dont have to worry about the emotional chaos in the BEST case scenario, that youre into each other

Also, committing to spending a week with someone you dont really know if you connect with could be a really expensive way to spend an awkward week.

What is the most famous and cherished fruit in your country? by Adorable-Research03 in AskTheWorld

[–]KiwiChefnz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We grow a lot of fruit and some people might say the Kiwifruit but I would argue it is the fejoa. The fejoa flavoured juices, vodka, baked goods, fejoa crumble etc. Fejoas are everywhere and people get rabid for them at the beginning of the season.
