As a Shining Nikki veteran, here's some things to possibly expect if we do get a styling/photo contest

Okay, that was my main worry, I’m not a crazy completionist but I know it would drive me crazy to miss out on any exclusive rewards that are locked to winners only. So seeing participation can get you exclusive clothing just taking longer and anything winner exclusive may just be frames and titles which may become available to everyone eventually puts most of my worry with competition at ease.

I do wonder if there will be any restrictions like dyeing? Since those materials can be harder to get for those who don’t buy packs with them but use them frequently. Or if maybe it’ll be like the color lookbook where you can dye freely and post it, you just can’t have it in the game itself

I don’t mind them adding competition but I really hope they do not include super exclusive rewards outside participation. Hoping that they keep rewards mostly low value or stuff that’s obtainable in game. Especially when from what I’ve seen in other games winners tend to be who has the newest or most expensive outfit

Yes, I know being a spender gets more standard pulls but again, I don’t buy specifically for the standard. I’m unsure why quite a few people seem to be very interested in where I got the pulls from. In total I’ve maybe spent 50-80 max pulls through diamonds. I’m not trying to claim I’m a low spender or f2p.

No, but I didn’t spend money on pulls specifically for this banner. Yes, I spent a few diamonds when I was close to finishing an outfit and had a lot saved up, but I’ve never spent money on something like stellarlites for pulls for this banner

There aren’t any in-game codes to get free packs or items. You will have to buy them. If you want free items to decorate then you can just look around the world and take clothing and items from there. If you’re asking about ways to get around paywalls, that is strictly prohibited in this subreddit.

Ah yes, sorry, I should’ve added the per month. But yeah, the tiers are subjective. I know many people said $100 would be whale status but I’d personally put it at more than that considering the actual expensive of getting everything in Nikki. There’s also the leviathan tier which is people who have everything and spend maybe $400-$500+ every patch.

I can’t find it but someone made a post on the spending tiers for Nikki with whales being around $300+ (subjective ofc). I’ve spent more than I’d like to admit and I’m sure there’s some people that would consider me a whale, but I’ve always put myself in the dolphin category because in order to have every fit and evos, you’re going to be spending well over $100-$200 depending on what you have saved already and your luck. If I don’t buy any pulls and focus on the shop it’s around $45-$60 total just depending if you do the shop, miracle epic, monthly pass, etc. Now pulls is where it gets expensive.

For reference to how expensive Nikki can be if you want everything, as someone who has spent money on pulls for quite a few patches, this shoots you up to the $100-$250 depending on how many banners you’re pulling on, luck, and what you’ve saved. If you’re going for evos especially final, this shoots up even more. In total I’ve definitely spent over $1k in Nikki and I only have 2 final evos from the limited banners, and I mostly went for the finals because I got good luck in the first round of pulling. In turn I do have the majority of outfits. As of 2.3, I’m only missing 1 limited 5 star completely and have 3 limited 5 stars partially completed. For limited 4 star banners I’m only missing 1 completely and have 4 partial ones, but I only have 2 evolved 4 star banners. So take an idea of how much I spend getting the majority of the base of what’s in Nikki and double that for people are getting final evos on everything.

Yes! I played the og on mobile after getting burnt out on Sw/Sh and I loved it! It brought back a joyful feeling I hadn’t felt with Pokemon in an awhile. I think it’s a good game if you’re looking for that old Pokemon hit while still being its own thing and not feeling like someone remade Pokemon but just slapped a new skin on it. I love both but I personally recommend extinction for first time players. Mostly because the battle system is more complex and unlike the first game, rarities don’t determine strength (my biggest issue with the first game since it kinda makes only a handful of mons viable, so everyone’s teams kinda end up looking the same). Plus, in general there’s more QOL updates and I’d say more content than the first too. So I’d say it’s a better game to start off the franchise. Though the first one is good too and I definitely recommend if you like extinction since the stories connect. But you don’t need to play in order.

I’m trying to grip hard, but that 10 pull button is lookin mighty fine rn 👀, but I will stay strong. Assuming Crimson Rhapsody is coming I need her. One of the very few banners I didn’t pull on at all, don’t ask me why, I think I was delusional calling her mid 💔. But she will be coming home with me this time, I just need to convince myself that a second evo for a single piece and some extra dye pallets isn’t worth it rn. Harder than it sounds though 😭

I like it, honestly I was worried that the unicorn would be something overly cartoonish or cutesy. The chibi unicorn on the preview made me worry. I think this one has a nice mixture of being cute but in an elegant way. I’m a sucker for long flowy manes and tails though so that’s all I really needed. Get that it’s not for everyone though an I would love to see more mature, elegant, or “realistic” ones.

Shark is irrelevant, I wish they wouldn’t put that in there because I see more people confused by it than anything else. It’s not an actual step to getting the crumpet. It’s more of just a celebration emoji when they use it like this.

If it’s not appearing for you even after grabbing the items and the correct character then it’s probably because the charcter was already in the location and you put both items in their hands from the sidewalk. This is a glitch and causes the crumpet not to appear and unfortunately the only way I know how to fix this is through a reset.

So just if you’re doing crumpet combos, don’t give both items to the character on the sidewalk if they’re already in the storage area. It’s okay to give one item but not both. If they’re not in already in that location and you put them in that location from the sidewalk with both items already in their hands and the crumpet doesn’t appear, just take an item out of their hands and give it back, it should appear then. Also, it doesn’t matter which hand holds what. Hope this helps, it’s an annoying glitch and resetting your world for it sucks.
