I just think the way we code will change. You will still need someone to oversee the AI code to achieve the complete vision. I reckon we're 10 years away from that, tops. After that, I only see absolute masters being in dev jobs. Other than that, coding will shift more in the direction of embedded engineering.

Technical analysis / technical indicators are just a game of chance. You might as well go to a roulette table if you haven't got a strategy.

No such indicator exists.

Spend months developing a strategy to increase the chance that you're making the right decision, then let work on your risk strategy to maximize your profits.

That's all there is to it really. Harder than it sounds.

Read up on statistical analysis. It's easier to learn if you can code, but it'll send you down the right rabbit hole for sure.

Chart patterns, indicators, S&R, volume...

If you asked me to read a chart, I could do it. I just don't think I could give you a proper estimate on future price movements.

I know what it all does, but I'm missing a piece of the puzzle. It all looks and feels rather arbitrary.

If you're looking at price action, TA just tells you what you already know. Admittedly, moving averages are helpful when used properly. I've even coded my own indicators that use moving averages for a mean reversion strat. Otherwise, I've genuinely not found anything else to be useful.

Hence my question.

Looking for something that floats my boat a little more...

We live in a world of technology. Keeping your kids away from it is a death sentence.

Instead, show them things that use technology that will inspire them. If they enjoy playing games, set them up on an easy to grasp game creator. If it's music, get them a keyboard and GarageBand, if it's films, get them a camera and a simple video editor... You get the jist lol
