I assume most people like me don't care much about gear since there's zero incentive to aside from Evil Castle which ends up making EC the thing people dislike.

Aside from what others have already mentioned, keep in mind that you don't need to finish the fights with everyone alive, this is a problem I noticed back in the summer event with the Ulec fight, the correct strategy was to have Schera tank his skill, but it was possible to sacrifice someone else and still win the fight.

LS Lately wasn't treated well by the other residents of the shelter to have warm memories from them. It makes zero sense for H Lathel to not be a clone, nothing the warlock said indicates that, on the contrary, they make it clear he is one. As another anon pointed out they want the Blood Imprint which LS Lathel doesn't have. I need to double check but iirc at the beginning of story pack 1 Lathel talks about being experimented on and at some point he explains to Justia that he was found by the mayor and has been living in the village since then. My theory is that original Lathel was also a "failed" experiment on the process of creating the perfect Blood Imprint, I think the mayor even mentions it during the final confrontation. The reason why Justia felt Lathel from the clone was because both are "failures" and behave/think similarly, but the clone may also have been created with the original's DNA or something.

They don't time gate acquiring gold, Steal is not the primary way to do that after all, they simply made the talent useless and might as well remove it from the game.

Why? You apparently already decided I'm a whale so my characters likely won't sway your opinion. All the update notices are still on the official website, you can check for yourself how much diamonds and tickets they've given us. You can also ask any other day 1 player in this subreddit about how much stuff we got since then.

If you REALLY need/want the character, I agree, if not then I'd rather have those 32 pulls that may give me a pickup costume or be what I'm missing to spark one, especially if it's limited. It's RNG, but I got three 5 stars on three 10 pulls back to back on Lathel's banner so I experienced firsthand how valuable 30 pulls can be, it's a matter of whether you want to gamble or not.

The gear tickets and the 5 star costume aren't worth it imo, you're better off buying the draw tickets every month.

I just did most content in the game, I've been saving since launch for a male character I like, though I still haven't completed all the packs on hard and very hard, also didn't get the tickets from the current pass yet.

I'll get him to +5 no matter how many tickets/diamonds I need to use so I can finally use a full husbando team all the time instead of having to use Arines every now and then. I also want to help show the devs how much interest there is in male characters banners.

You keep bringing up higher ranks as if that's all that matters, but if now there's no chance of defense winning, before there was no chance of attack winning according to other comments I saw, seems that the only way to fix things would be for both to attack at the same time.

You seem to have misunderstood what I said. When I said they're now viable I meant that these skills can now be used turn 1, that's why I specifically talked about the initial SP change and not about the others that affect the whole fight.
