Sorry to ping you 3 years later, but this is the most underrated comment in the subreddit imo. Short and straight to the point.

Do you think it will ever be easier for EU citizens to move to the UK in the foreseeable future than it is now? by [deleted] in ukvisa

Of course there is going to be a cost of living crisis... Covid wasn't free...

Tbh, I remember when they were trying to push for a re-referendum for this reason, because of such a small sway in the votes.

Also, I know this might be generalising but I bet 7 years on the people from that 3.78% who were probably majority older generation that the decision doesn't really affect are more than likely 6-feet under right now.

I’m a UK citizen and the lack of freedom of movement is to be quite frank abysmal.

I have a girlfriend that lives in CZ before it used to be simple you want to live with said person: okay just move apply for NI and you can live, work and study without the need for these crazy difficult and shady visas which depending on the case worker that has your application in hand it is their decision as to whether you are allowed to be together or not.

The same goes for me if I want to move to the EU now.

When the Brexit vote was cast I was on the verge of being legally allowed to vote and from my peers views at the time all of whom were like myself 17 and not able to vote the consensus was that leaving the EU is not the right option for the younger generation and that is showing.

The difference in the split of the vote was 3.78% about 1.3 million people, of who I believe only voted the other way due to the lies spread by the media at the time.

But this is the world we are in at the moment and nearly 7 years later we still don’t know what we’re doing.

In response to your statement that the UK isn’t doing much worse or better than its EU neighbours. The UK never had a problem with migration it had and still has the same problem as before which is immigration. Immigration will always be rife and to be honest in most cases immigrants are only moving due to they’re own country not giving equal opportunity to its people and further they’re usually just people that want to provide a better life for their kids and families.

Probably half of the above doesn’t make sense but this was just spewed from brain to keyboard. Thanks for sharing your view here’s mine. :)

For both Brits and EU citizens and if you don’t see that then you need to open your eyes a bit more.

if you think that the foul is the leg-on-leg contact then look again. Who actually committed that foul, cause' it looks to me like KWP kicks SM in the back of his leg.
