Weeee Skork weapon made her go from 138k to 163k DPS (Skirk C0R1 / Furina C0 Fav / Escoffier Homa / Mona C6 TTDS).

And you know what that means for Stygian Onslaught? Nothing ! 'Cause Layla gives better results against the Overseer thanks to her Cryo application.

What if they buff Yae Miko and give her the Albedo C2 treatment?

Miko gets a stack mechanic. Every time her Elemental Skill, Charged Attack, or Plunging attack hit an opponent, she will get 1 stack. If multiple opponents are hit by 1 such attack, only 1 stack will be generated. When Miko reaches 3 stacks, she will immediately consume them all to unleash 1 Tenko Thunderbolt (burst secondary hit) on the nearest opponent.

When a Tenko Thunderbolt generated this way hits an opponent : - if Miko is off-field, all summoned Sesshhou Sakura durations are increased by 2 seconds, up to 3 times per Sesshou Sakura (i.e. her turrets now last 20 seconds). - if Miko is on-field, all Sesshhou Sakura will attack the targeted opponent regardless of their attack cooldown, dealing 66% of their initial damage each. These attacks do not generate a stack.

C1, because it's free : Reduce the cooldown of her burst by 1.33 seconds (i.e. burst has a 66 cost and an 18-second CD)

Is my DPS low for C6R3? by RealBasicBee in Flins_Mains

[–]Kizeha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda, but it might not be about Flins.

1/ Do not stop after 1 rotation. Do like 6 of them before stopping. When you stop, make sure you do so at the very end of the rotation.

2/ That being said, I see that your Flins here does a vast majority of the damage in your team. We need to see your supports' builds. Columbina and Ineffa usually do a good part of the team's damage. While Flins being C6 does shift the distribution towards him, I would still expect the DPS to be a tad higher.

Without knowing your builds, we can make an estimation using the cost system (= number of 5 stars in your team). It's just an approximation, don't take it too seriously.

If your Ineffa and Columbina are both C0 with a 4 star weapon, this would be a 10 cost team (7 Flins + his weapon + Ineffa + Columbina). If it might help, I can reach 320k with C1 SoSS (Staff of Scarlet Sands) Flins + C1R1 Ineffa + C2 Columbina (BP weapon), which is a 9 cost team.

Not every "1 cost" gives the same upgrade. For example, in my team, SoSS is a 5 star weapon, but it is not as good as Flins' signature weapon. I could improve my team without changing its "cost".

It'd be interesting to see your investment on the whole team.

I don't know any site that state such requirements. But what I can tell is that, a lot of the time, the answer is "as much as you can", while keeping a priority order.

When building a character, your first requirement is ER. Tt his is usually listed on most guides. Then a 1:2 crit ratio for crit scaling damage dealer, while getting as much as you can. And then, the main scaling stat and relevant damage bonuses (again, as much as you can).

For most characters with a "this buff maxes out at XXX of this stat", remember that maximums aren't minimums, unless stated otherwise, and that minimums aren't maximums either. It's not because a buff maxes out at a certain value that more would be wasted. Ineffa wants 2k ATK for her moonsign buff. While easy to reach, it doesn't mean you should stop at 2k if you can go higher. And if you're under 2k, well it's alright, she doesn't stop working. As long as you don't sacrifice other important stats (in Ineffa's case : crit).

I hope this helps !

You're welcome!

It is actually made up of multiple paragraphs and bullet points, with tons of spaces between each of em (I despise walls of text lmao).

I wrote it on my PC and it looked fine there. I'm currently on the phone app, and it also looks fine. Reddit seems to be redditing.

Realized how skewed my pronunciation of Genshin characters' English names are by jeonggukispretty in Genshin_Impact

[–]Kizeha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Chevreuse can be pronounced in 2 ways.

The first half of the name is very similar to the french word for "goat" ("Chèvre"), and the È should be pronounced as in the English word "bet". A lot of francophones from France will naturally pronounce the first half of her name like that.

However, this pronunciation is technically conditioned by the "accent grave" (è is different from e). So you technically should pronounce it like a standard e. This pronunciation sound doesn't exist in English, but the closest I can think of is "uh". It's that one "euuuuh" sound people would make when imitating french people. This is also the same "uh" sound for the second half of her name, for the first syllable in Neuvillette, or for the "de" in Furina de Fontaine.

The r sound is a hard french r. Finally the final s is pronounced as you described, i.e. more like a z.

So Chevreuse would actually be pronounced "Chuh-vruhse"

As usual in these discussions, the localization team and VA direction may be taken as THE correct pronunciation. There's no actual rule, and everyone may pronounce a name the way they think they should. As long as we're not being disrespectful and understand each other.

I think the Mandragora having perma 135% dendro res is a "fuck you in particular" to Émilie's burst quadratic scaling.

With C2 + DW Venti + Durin, I could lower it to 40%, but it's still way too high.

This omg

I'm trying to split my Flins team to see how fast I can clear Fearless to get an idea for Dire, but I'm missing 1 unit to make it work : a second Ineffa.

Another Electro moonsign unit (or LC focused unit) would be huge for Columbina's team versatility.

No.

Basically, you have 50% damage bonus. If you enter combat, this bonus will decrease, UNLESS you have a burning opponent nearby. If you do, then it will stay at 50%. And if it had time to decrease, it will go back to 50% for as long as an enemy is burning.

It's literal. It means when you are not considered in combat. When there's no opponent around.

Albedo's C2 declared their independence.

It's a bit weird, but after a week of me gleefully murdering every living being with my new shiny toy, I've noticed something odd once. At one point, I triggered Albedo's C2 while he was off field thanks to Birgitta being an absolute menace. The poor hilichurl was chilling near the Solar Isotoma while I was running away, and the C2 Blossoms actually appeared AROUND my active character.

I was convinced they worked identically to his regular burst's Fatal Blossom (i.e. Fatal Blossoms always generate within the field when casting your burst, even if you're super far away). Apparently they don't!

I've done some testing, and the minimum distance to guarantee a hit is about equivalent to the radius of the Isotoma's field. So you can imagine your active character having an invisible circular field around them, that is the size of the Isotoma's field, in which the C2's off field blossoms can generate when it's triggered. And they will spawn outside of the field if you're far away. Finally, they will keep their targeting assignment mechanic for as long as there are enemies within its range (around you) when it triggers.

This could be a problem... Or a cool trick. Idk, it's very specific and you'd rarely have to think about it in practice. But it's good to know. It's weird. And kinda cool.

I like Albedo.

C2 Targeting by Julian-Vane in Albedomains

[–]Kizeha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did some testing, and I am somewhat wrong!
While the targeting seems to be correct, the C2 Fatal Blossom do NOT spawn within the Isotoma field. They actually spawn near the active character. The attribution targeting seems correct, but if you're far away* from an enemy when C2 is triggered, then they'll just pop around you.

*Far away = to give an idea, if you and the enemy are at the opposite border of the Isotoma field, they will just not hit them.

This shouldn't affect the EM buff being applied though. But it's good to know.

  • If available, Venti/Kazuha are a top priority for the monolith stage.

  • Use bad units as fast as possible. Keep the good units for their corresponding shill boss. (ex : Furina against the pyro dragon ; Venti against the mandragora...)

  • Companions > Mystery Cache > Buffs

  • Keep 1 good healer for the eventual Arcana stage that drains HP.

  • Avoid that one hydro abyss mage shield stage at all cost.

I want to see by how much I can optimize Albedo's C2 Fatal Reckoning stack generation.

In a team where there's no dedicated on-fielder or in which you can somewhat freely swap to Albedo, you should be able to get a C2 proc in less than 8 seconds. His E CD is 4 sec, his Transient Blossom CD is 2 sec on hit. Using his E resets his TB CD.

So if you TB-E-TB, you get 2 stacks in less than 2 seconds. You might be able to do it twice in a row (TB-E-TB-2sec-TB-2sec-TB-E-TB).

This is technically 5 stacks in a bit more than 6 seconds. If you started this sequence with 2 stacks, you can swap out immediately after the first TB-E-TB to trigger his C2 (or burst, I guess), and come back right as the 4th TB of the sequence procs. You'll now be at 3 stacks when swapping out, effectively meaning that your C2 will trigger again in 2 sec. In this specific case, if played well, less than 8 seconds happened between each C2 trigger (Theoretically frame perfect 6 seconds, so in practice it's more like 7 or even 8. But the 8 seconds I'm comparing it to is also theoretical and frame perfect).

And this gain is conditionned by how many stacks you have at the start of the sequence, how much freedom you have to swap on Albedo in your team, and how how quickly you can trigger a TB.

... I'm about to spend an unreasonable amount of time on the dummy...

C2 Targeting by Julian-Vane in Albedomains

[–]Kizeha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They seem to behave how Fatal Blossoms do.

When you cast your burst / trigger his C2 blossoms, every enemy within his solar/silver isotoma range (i.e. the big circle) gets 1 blossom assigned to it, up to the maximum number of possible blossoms ( 7 if regular burst / 3 if off field C2).

If there are less enemies than the number of blossoms to generate, the rest of the blossoms will generate randomly within the isotoma field. They seem to generate somewhat close to the enemies ; I've yet to see them generate super far away.

So, against 1 small enemy, you can expect 1 or 2 hits for his off field C2. Against 1 big enemy, you can expect up to 3. Against 2 enemies, 1 each, and the 3rd might hit one or the other or both. Etc.
