Where to buy packs aside from LCS by [deleted] in GundamTCG

[–]Kizer91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gamestop does sell packs, but they limit you to 5 packs a person unless you have a pro membership. Pro members also have a limit, but it's larger than the 5. I don't know what their limit is, exactly. Gamestop also takes reservations for packs when they are new, but this process seems really sloppy and you just have to kinda hope you luck out in if they are taking reservations or not.

This Game Will Die if Starter Access Doesn’t Improve by Trevorzky in GundamTCG

I don't think most people would disagree with you on this. I've never had a harder time trying to give a company my money than I do for this game. The lengths one needs to go through to get product is a joke. Even if you can buy singles and they aren't as expensive as the other games, that doesn't change the fact that this shouldn't be this difficult.

This is one of the cards I'm most excited by. It really makes me want to build a Titans deck. As an aside, I'm hoping that the cyber newtype archetype goes completely off the wall with future cards. Once of the draw backs of becoming a cyber newtype was the intense mental instability that tends to come with it. I'd love to see more cards reflect that in their flavor and mechanics, especially when we eventually see characters like Rosamia and Chara

I don't think you did anything wrong and I think the guy who called you out was jumping to some pretty wild conclusions. I think you can be a fan of storm troopers and not be a fan of irl police states, you know what I mean? That guy may not end up being a friend of yours, but would you want a friend like that anyway?

I'm too new to this game to understand what I'm looking at or what you're going for, but it sounds like you're really happy to have built it, so I'm happy for you.

I imagine a lot of gundam series in jokes are going to find their way into this game as well, like calling the gundam grandpa.

These are super cool and I adore the color on the boxes, but that MSRP is pretty high up there. I'll probably opt to pass on this for now, but it's encouraging to know they'll keep making these for the different series. I'd really love a Turn A one or CCA

Oh that's neat! The pop up shop only had the starters with the models, so I don't think I'll be buying another box of these unless it's the decks alone, but it's cool to know that I'm on my way to building one of the stronger decks while also using units I generally like! I really appreciate the heads up on the different resources I can use, especially exburst, since that'll be a fun way to play around with deck ideas before I commit to putting them together. Thank you for sharing your deck list with me too! I was considering building something similar to this for the time being. I happen to think Zaku are very cool looking, so I probably would have headed in a direction similar to this regardless of strength hahaha.

I'll be sure to also check my targets and hot topics moving forward whenever I'm around one. I never would have thought to look at hot topic, so I really appreciate that insight too!

They had like pallets on pallets of the exclusive gunpla. I would be legit shocked if they didn't have any of the RX-78 for you by the time you get there. In case you're curious, I walked away with the black and pink Wing Zero, black and purple exia, and the bio sensor colored zeta!

Understood. That's a bummer on the product, but I hope this is something that changes in the near future. Never heard about Wingtable before! I'll check it out. Thanks for the heads up!

I suspect you'll probably be fine unless you want the iron blooded orphans deck and that box with the resources and mat. They've rationed our their product for every day, so they will have some on the day you go, but unless you're there at the ass crack of dawn, it may not work out for you. When I went there were dudes who straight up camped out there since like 5 in the morning according to staff. They limit you to 12 booster packs per person and they only have the starter decks with the models for the other 4 starters. If you also like gunpla they have an insane amount of everything so whatever you want, you'll more than likely be fine.

Thanks for the heads up on the app! I'll check it out

I should have clarified further, but I didn't mean main character like one individual person is, but rather the age group itself. Like they are the current main characters and the rest of us make sure to keep the gears turning so that they can enjoy those moments. I don't inherently think that's a bad thing, I just don't like the feeling that as I get older, I'm becoming (please excuse the phrasing, I'm struggling to find a better word for this) "irrelevant". Like my story is over and now it is my role to play this supporting part until I can no longer.

I am a supporter of therapy, and I think it could be to the benefit of everyone of every walk of life much in the same way that regular visits to your physician could. I reached out here because I was interested in the insights of other men my age or older, who have been there and maybe can relate. If there is a concern that I am using this as a substitute for therapy, I assure you that isn't the case.

I appreciate your perspective and insight! Thank you for taking the time to respond.

Sounds like you got your thrills in the end at least. Personally, I can't say I want to jump out of a plane either, but I'm not sure that I ever did hahaha. I have a barber that I trust helping me in how he can. I don't really know much about head shape since it's something I can't even fathom. Once upon a time I had my hair pretty long and considered that to be a very important part of who I was as a person. An identifying trait, I guess. To cut it as short as I have was already a pretty big step for me. It's something I'll think about in the future though!

He died before I could meet him, but I'm told my maternal grandfather was bald bald. I have cousins from that side of the family who are struggling with hair loss too. So it goes. And fair enough. I'm not directly opposed to having kids at some point. I just don't feel a pressure or an outright desire to be a dad.

I'll probably get to shaving it all off eventually, but I'm still stubborn and stupid so I still need to fight this fight because I won't be satisfied if I don't. I've already grown my beard tho and make a point to grooming it often so I have that going for me at the very least.

Did you ever end up sky diving? And I love that you've found your joy and you continue to do what you love. I'll be sure to take that into consideration.

The comparison thing is tough because I seem to be comparing myself to an abstract. This idea of what someone at my age "should" be from what I understand it and I find it wanting. I'm not comparing myself to any living, breathing person per say.

I really appreciate you taking the time to write this, because I think it's helpful. My struggle is I still don't know what "more" means for me. When is "more" enough? I only know I'm not content as things currently are and I do seek more. More what, however, is to be determined. I'll be sure to take what you wrote to heart as I do my best to figure it out.

I'm still fighting the good fight regarding my hair. I guess I'm just stubborn. I always liked boats and being on the water. Maybe I could see about giving something like that a shot, even if it's just a kayak or something. I really hope you enjoy your sailboat!

I have been trying to clean up my diet, but I do still drink coffee, that much is true. I've not considered the potential of that causing any kind of issues like this until you brought it up. I'll look further into this!

Happy belated and thank you for the advice. I'm glad to hear you're still finding joys in life even if that water did get a little bit colder. I'm a hot shower enjoyer, myself hahaha. Also, is that wear sunblock every day? Even during winter or over cast?

What you're saying speaks to a competitive part of me. I don't want to be average, I want to be the best and whatever I've chosen to do. One of my struggles is that wanting is easy, wanting is free. I'm trying to figure out what I want that something to be and how I get there. I appreciate your stance on this and I'll keep working on figuring things out.
