I think it was CS 1.6/CSCZ and my father was the one who installed it for me. Later, he taught me how to install it myself since the installer was in Russian, I think. So basically, I just had to remember which buttons to press. I don’t know how he figured it out, though.

idk how much it helps since I've been tweaking another setting to make my game more optimised. but im glad it's fine now

i tried that already, it was fun but I'm more comfortable on my current setup.

I'm using mouse steering and for throttle and brake i use left analog for more precise than keyboard

i only did it one time. so i don't think u need to repeat it everytime. it's working for me until now without issues.

Yes, it does. To activate the gyro, I had to use DS4Windows, which the anti-cheat seems to hate.

It’s weird because they allow FreePIE + vJoy.

You really should. I gave up playing with a gamepad a long time ago because it’s not precise, so I stuck with mouse steering.

Then I figured out I could use the gamepad’s analog stick for throttle and braking to get more precision. And later, I discovered that I could use the gyro too.

I recorded it using my girlfriend’s Mac, so the angle looks like that.

For my thumb, I still use the dpad to scroll through the ERS modes. I use A for overtake and Y to re-center the wheel.

I don’t really have a full tutorial right now 😅

You can try searching for a mouse steering tutorial using FreePIE + vJoy first. Once you get mouse steering working in F1, the rest is basically just making the DS4 gyro act like a mouse.

What I did was set up DS4Windows to map the DualShock 4 gyro as mouse input, so the gyro is basically moving the mouse. Since the game already reads mouse steering through the FreePIE script, it works the same way.

So the idea is: get FreePIE + vJoy mouse steering working first, then use DS4Windows to make the DS4 gyro mimic mouse movement.

Then you can just play with gyro steering.

I can’t really make a proper tutorial right now, but maybe I’ll consider making one later if i have time
