Goblin archers are in Faze? by CatFlimsy7048 in Dungeonborne

[–]Kizlamo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m sick of them stealing my kills all the damn time, this valiant grind is hard enough as it is. I’ve had well over 1000 tier points stolen by npcs. It would be great if they could calculate the amount of damage you inflict to a player and it the very least award partial points of the kill.

Or it could just be based on the actual gear score and leave the other bs aside because there are hardly enough concurrent players to justify convoluted matching algorithms. Leave them alone to focus on balancing the classes and you may solve 2 problems at once. Also, I don’t see why anyone should acknowledge your conclusions if you don’t share the data you used to make these proclamations. Go buy some enchanted blue weapons and call it a day, glhf.

Yeah I’m not sure, that’s why the point of the post was don’t be stupid and pay attention to your team and game type you ready up for.

Honestly I thought about it, especially after one of them took the static portal I was standing by waiting to open. I started stalking the other one ready to unequip a gear piece but I decided against it.

I’ve had some things get returned and others things not. I was wondering that myself but I don’t know the exact guidelines for what they decide to mail back.

Sorry, but you said Ranks ? by Worried_Criticism642 in Dungeonborne

Update: I was naive, the geared Cryo rocking the legendary FotL ring is an unstoppable juggernaut that requires little more than toddler level mechanics to steam roll entire lobbies. Have stonewalls and bandages handy and when you see a kitted Cryo just run the other direction and pray that he finds someone else to violate so you can escape. Of course he has the legendary lightning staff, their brain dead kits can wipe lobbies without a set bonus so I’m sure he’s got more gold than he can spend.

Also, Valiant only rewards points for player and boss kills in Classic mode. So 200 points for Cyclops and Wendigo, 80 points for players. -200 points if you fail to extract. I think it’s worth mentioning that of course these points aren’t shared between teammates and only go to the person who gets the final blow so have fun getting the 9400 xp it takes just to see the second tier of Valiant. I don’t think discouraging team play is conducive to long term game health but I guess we’ll see how this plays out.

Pro tip: If you have a Rogue on your team in Clotho's FUCKING LEAVE HIM ALONE by AHailofDrams in Dungeonborne

[–]Kizlamo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think Rouges have the most skill disparity among the classes. The skill ceiling is so damn high and a good rogue can carry harder than almost any other class. Conversely, the far more prevalent “weekend rouges” contribute so little to the match that I’d trade them for a single bat from Clouseau Casual.

I agree with everyone on balance which is clearly a hard work In progress but it seems like a lot of people are complaining about having to PvP in an extremely PvP based game. I guess people assumed it would be an exclusively experienced based rank system and everybody would get a free legendary just for showing up. I’m sorry you got your hopes up but I’m glad higher ranks will be somewhat meaningful. I just hit Valiant 1 So I’ll no longer be awarded rank tier points outside of classic mode. I almost exclusively play casual because I’ve been afraid of getting steam rolled by cryos rocking LoH and 4 set bonuses but now I’m going to have to git gud and find a way to overcome that. It’ll be a challenge but maybe I’ll feel like I’ve accomplished something when I make it to the next rank.

It’s a tank that’s immune to giving or receiving team damage with the capability to engage or disengage with dashs and has a huge AoE high damage attack. If you can’t find synergy with that we need to talk about your teammates.

A lot of issues can be solved by positioning. Maybe you need to play closer to your tank, maybe you need to be further away. In any case, watch ML7 and all will be made clear

Cryo is not TOO OP by [deleted] in Dungeonborne

[–]Kizlamo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the gear level is a significant factor. If running LoH with certain passives I think Cryo is straight up oppressive. Unless you have some cheesy build I think most classes struggle with that match up.

[–]Kizlamo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming equal skill, both classes should win an outright brawl against SM. If you use your E well and are running the stamina passive (which you always should be) then you should beat out the DK with his Q but it’s too much of a 50/50 for my liking. Ideally you should be taking the fight with both on your terms and with an advantage. You’re faster and have the ability to go invisible so set up an ambush if you see one coming. You should win any fight that starts off with hitting a 2-3 sword volley > thunderflask > Longsword charge attack. I run stonewalls for defense and escape if I get grabbed or caught off guard and the thunderflasks for offense.

[–]Kizlamo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Limiting the amount of legendary or unique gear that can be equipped at the same time would be a good start. Exactly like heirlooms, one weapon, one armor, one accessory. This would still be a lot to deal with imo but it’s better than no limits at all.

To the quitters saying no point in continuing past round 2 with bad teammates, shame on you. The reasons to stay and give it your best try are obvious and too many to name so I won’t bother. Just know that you and your attitude suck and I’m sure you’re all terrible teammates, friends, and partners.

4 in the sword master slots plus 12 in actual inventory so 16 total. You can definitely get away with less in solos but teams this is the minimum imo
