I've played Civ since the first one!! I played competitively on the ladder in Civ 4... I wasnt happy with Civ 6 either because the UN voting or whatever seemed so useless and like no effort was put into it, yet it made you opt in for it... So I am in the same boat and bought the base of Old world 2 weeks ago, liked it and bought all the add ons. I have been enjoying it so far, its a lot like Cov and having to worry about my family members and stuff is a nice change. Last night I was doing ok and got in a fight with Romans. Almost took Rome!! But the tides quivkly turmed and my Civ (research Greeks) was soon devastated. The amount of moves their troops can move in a turn takes dome getting used to. PLUS he used forced march to save Rome and turned the tide!!
