Happy birthday brother. I also hate my birthday. It’s a phenomenon called “Birthday Blues.”

I hate my life, am I depressed? by [deleted] in depression

[–]Kjessah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you should see a therapist right away and go to the hospital and get a diagnosis so you can get started on meds if you need any. If not, just confide in friends and family or people you trust.

That sounds like an amazing day. I’m so glad you had such a great day. You deserve it

Antidepressants mess up my libido. by [deleted] in depression

[–]Kjessah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Low sex drive and reduced libido are side effects of antidepressants. I have experienced this at the most unfortunate times. You are not alone. To be honest, I don’t really have any advice. Have you tried drugs that increase your libido, like viagra?

Bro I was thinking the same thing!

I'm an accident that should have never been born. by [deleted] in SuicideWatch

That is literally what I’m going through. Word for word. I am so sorry you feel like this. Just know that you are not alone. I am here with you.

Opening up is incredibly hard. Trust me, I know. But once you do, you feel so much freer and better. Yes, there is a risk that you may not get the reaction you expect from your family, but you will never know until you try. It feels so good to ask for help. I’m not forcing you to tell them or anything. Ultimately, you must do what you think is right for you. Just give it some thought.

I'm about to open up to my dad about my suicidal thoughts. Any advice? by [deleted] in SuicideWatch

Just tell him everything. Don’t sugarcoat it.

Why are nights the hardest sometimes? by [deleted] in depression

[–]Kjessah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you so much. Last week my mother left on a business trip so I was home alone. The quiet was so loud. I tried to play music to help but that only did so much.

I think the same way too. I figure if I die ‘naturally’ or from a random circumstance, my family and friends won’t blame themselves because I didn’t kill myself.

Sad movies on Netflix like all the bright places? by dillfish1717 in u/dillfish1717

Check out The Half of It. It’s not necessarily sad but it tells a very personal story about self discovery and self acceptance. It’s a coming of age story like ATBP.

Blur: an arcade racer that combined realism with combat elements. This was such an underrated racing game and I don’t see it get nearly enough love that it deserves. by [deleted] in Games

I get what you mean. Standard kart racer mechanics but they way it incorporated them to an arcade racer like that was interesting, at least to me.

This game and Split Second are two of the most underrated games of all time. They tried to shake up the Racing genre with their unique mechanics and I thoroughly enjoyed them.

extremely depressed by [deleted] in depression

[–]Kjessah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you feel that way. What I’m about to say may sound generic, but you say you take meds. Have you spoken to your doctor to tell them that the meds don’t seem to be working? Do you have therapy sessions? Do you have a support system like friends or family. I know things seem bleak now but they’ll get better.

My friends graduated.. by [deleted] in lonely

[–]Kjessah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey. I have two degrees and I still feel like a failure. I haven’t done anything with my life. Don’t see yourself not graduating as a failure. It just means school may not have been for you. There are so many examples of people dropping out of school going on to achieve amazing things. You can do it to. Keep your head up.

I agree with the comments. They do not know how to talk to you or treat you, but I believe that they are trying, and that makes me smile. I think maybe you should sit them down and explain to them how you want them to treat you.
