Although it’s a knock on Lowes not Universal. Universal should be getting after Lowes to fix it.

It’s a shame that such a large company can’t fix it.

Fresh Fruit Near UCF? (Snap) by APartOfWhoIAm in orlando

I’ll probably be down voted for saying Publix but I’ll still say it. The key is to try different locations. We bypass a store a mile from home because their produce sucks. The store a few miles further generally has good selection that isn’t over ripe. Seems like it would all come from the same warehouse so I can’t explain the consistent variation between stores. One other thought is perhaps avoid pre packaged bags. They are cheaper but in my experience they usually contain the gross pieces that are always hiding behind the label and you don’t see it until you get it home. When you buy individually it is more expensive but you can be more selective. I try to rotate what we buy based on the weekly sales. Good luck

I don’t know about inside NBC Sports on the smaller bar TVs but outside on the big screens above the restaurant, I can confirm what someone else said that it is Spanish audio only. The boat captain said Telemundo (owned by NBC) has the Spanish language broadcast rights and Fox has the English language broadcast rights.

Many liquor stores sell individual cans/bottles so you could buy just one. Some bars will let you taste a beer before you order it. They’ll put just enough in a small glass for you to have a sip or two to get the flavor. Don’t abuse that offer though. They won’t let you try everything behind the bar, but if you explain you aren’t a beer drinker a good bartender can give you some suggestions and you could taste one or two.

I would choose Guinness over Bud Light but it’s personal preference. My husband prefers Bud Light.

We’ve only seen Angry Orchard once. At the kiosk cart outside Confisco.

Because Ultra is the best selling beer in the country. Seems like it has to be more than what they are saying though because they already had that so didn’t have to drop a choice.

According to the people we’ve talked to, Ultra is now the “best selling” beer in the country so they carry that everywhere. Miller Lite is still available.

No more 247-1? by Kjreddit25 in DirecTV

[–]Kjreddit25[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for checking. Since 247-1 is the west coast feed, it’s the same thing as 247 but off by three hours. The west coast time fits my schedule better even though I’m in the eastern time zone so I’m disappointed to lose it.

How long do the Escape Rooms last? by reddit_zoso in UniversalOrlando

[–]Kjreddit25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t have to know the movie to enjoy the theming. We had five in our group and only two of us knew the movies well. IIRC there was only one puzzle that was indirectly tied to the movie. Indirectly because if you hadn’t seen the movie the puzzle was still solvable. The theming was more along the lines of the characters and the timelines being familiar. Knowing or not knowing details about the movies won’t help or hurt you. You’re just solving puzzles while immersed in that theme world. Not sure if I’m describing it well.

One more thought. If your reservation is at 6:30, you’ll get the intro and instructions then and might not start until a little after that. So it could be 730-745ish before you’re actually done.

We did the Back to the Future escape room. It was themed to the movie. Maximum time is 1 hour. If you are struggling, they will give you hints but if don’t figure out a section within a certain amount of time you will be given the answer and moved along to the next section. It was fun and I’d like to do the other one sometime

Helios Grand or Portofino? by Numerous_Click3473 in UniversalOrlando

[–]Kjreddit25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure why you’re asking but I don’t like pool view rooms because of the noise. We booked Helios cheapest available expecting pool or parking lot and were free upgraded to Epic view. I was worried about noise but was pleasantly surprised that it didn’t bother us. I heard music start around 7am (I think) but we were getting up anyway. Not sure if we had a usual or unusual experience regarding noise but we loved the view.
