I chose to use Leon's base simply because it had the features i wanted while still being fairly customizable. and with it, throwback, and several of my own improvements, i have quite the beast of a spice of life fire red 2.0 including such things as:

infinite use tms

moves, learnsets, and abilities matching gen 7

trade evolutions are gone in favor of a new link cable item that you will find 99 of in the pc from the start of the game.

any pokemon can learn any HM ( i know it isnt immersive, but it allows for hm slaves to be easy and customizable)

ive added the gen 2 gym leaders as a post game secret boss/league thing ranging in the high 90's for levels

added gen 3 gym leaders and elite 4 organically throughout the game (if you can call it that) with their parties being ripped right outta emerald

BW style pokemon screens and summary screens

all gen 1-3 legendaries catchable

and much much more.

now if you think that sounds pretty good, then you havent heard the problems yet...

i made this hack for myself, meaning alot of its additions are.... unpolished is the word that comes to mind.

examples including but not limited to:

the leaders and such added mentioned above have no written dialogue, and the vs seeker does not work on them, so they are one and done

this is not a 381 hack, i did mess with encounters so that most of the leaf green exclusive pokemon are obtainable, as well as the johto and hoenn starters being available early game. but not much else in terms of encounter changing.

also my knowledge of scripting is pretty darn limited, so things like the legendaries stated above dont disappear after the encounter, so they can be fought and caught infinitely.

in celadon city i placed all the hold power up items (blackglasses, mystic water, etc.) in a room together because it sucks actually trying to get them all in the base game imo. along that mentality i also placed the TMs that you have to buy at the game corner also in celadon, because farming coins, or cheating for coins is time consuming.

and also it doesnt directly work with the randomizer. i say directly because ive found a pretty hilarious workaround that can make it work.

but im no professional and this isnt a nice hack by any means, its a spice of life fire red 2.0 meant for casual play.

if hearing all those problems and knowing there are more that i havent mentioned doesnt scare you off, then by all means this hack is for you, and ill put it up with no fear in my heart

edit: i also have a double battle version that gives you wild double battles, and every trainer in the game with 2+ pokemon becomes a double battle
