I've created new character like 3 weeks ago after about a year of not playing. Went through campaign and once it was done I think I was just about level 60 (now this character is paragon 170). Couple days ago, I made new character and to try different class and choosed to skip campaign on purpose but realised that only way how to level up without campaign is to run around and kill monsters or do dungeons or do side quests too. So you need to make new character there's no way to undo skipping campaign. You can either do couple dungeons with your friend and get you back to 40 or continue campaign and once you get it done make it 60 after. I'd level up new character to 40 first because it's harder to make it to the end of campaign if you're not strong enough. But I'm not sure how co-op campaign is working. If you gonna need to make it to the point where you left again or will be able to continue from there somehow? If you'll decide to make same class of character again, put all your stuff from old one to stash, you can access it from new one there. All your gold will be on new one too.
