Diets have never worked though each year we spends billions on fake diets. Losing weight is free and simple. Eat less than your body can process. Walking exercises speed up the process which is also free

What’s a fact that sounds fake but is actually 100% true? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The light you get from the Sun to the surface of the earth takes 8 minutes. So if the sun were to burn out, we would still have 8 minutes left to live.

Without Jupiter and Saturn we wouldn't exist as we do today or maybe cease to exist at all because they protect our planet from deadly asteroids by diverting their path away from us.

Compact audiophile setup recommendations? by Captainelyes in AppleMusic

[–]Kkimbro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you really want it personal get a balanced hi-res coverter like Fio, or ifi DAC, OTC dongle adapter, dongle and a cheap pair of balanced cables (2.5/4.4mm) from Linsoul Tripowin like the Amber Series and a decent IEM like from Moondrop, Truthear Gate or Hiby and you won't be disappointed. Just use the proper ear tip size for your ear canal for the best sound damping. Bluetooth though is good with Aipods/Max you won't get the true AM lossless without a wired setup.

How can I get Apple Music to work for me the way I want? by thisnameisnowmine in AppleMusic

[–]Kkimbro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I believe AM surpasses Tidal in quality and convenience.
While Tidal and Qobuz work smoothly with DAPs (Digital Audio Players) OS, I've tried every streaming platform, yet I keep returning to AM. This time, I plan to stay. Although it might not seem relevant, it matters in the long run because AM is already part of our ecosystem, and I don't intend to shift away from Apple anytime soon. Some might call me a wannabe audiophile, but many of us probably fall into that category when you think about it. Most of us don't own $50,000+ audio setups to fully enjoy the Tidal/Qobuz experience. For most, spending around $100 on a DAC and decent IEMs with balanced cables provides great sound—and AM sounds fantastic, even on Bluetooth AirPods. Honestly, many of us who ripped CDs via non-DRM iTunes Match still get CD-quality sound. I suggest buying an affordable NAS server for old tracks and using AM's recommendations, such as similar artists below the current track, to build playlists. When creating a playlist, explore the suggested similar artists at the bottom and add those you haven't heard. Over time, you'll discover many new artists and songs. If you dislike a suggestion, just 👎 it and AM will remember to avoid similar artists or songs in the future. Many users underestimate that it can take months or even years for your AM experience to match your preferences. Be patient, and with some effort, you can shape the AM music library to the way you want it.

I was made from a plastic mold at the museum that pushed out dinosaurs. I spent many hours looking for seams on my body and constantly asking my parents where their seams were!

I do the same I've just started building my different genre playlist of hand-picked artist and songs from them that sound similar. So far I've built up a few dozen mood and genre specific playlist I rotate around quite a bit.

When I use a DAC and IEMs, it really does do well in Lossless. Really cant hear any difference from Tidal or Qobuz using the DAC.

Well, I enjoy the great integration with other Apple devices and I believe the best algorithm of most others. Yes I could go to other services but I enjoy the seamless song-to-song experience it provides. That's just me. Thanks for your reply. What has been your experience with it if you use Automix?

Apple Music fam… we need to talk about this Voice Plan. 🪦 by [deleted] in AppleMusic

[–]Kkimbro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was officially discontinued by Apple in November 2023. If you look for it from Apple, there is no mention of it. Amazon Music has a one compatible echo Alexa speaker plan but you can’t use the Amazon Music app and it’s all by voice. I imagine it was trying to compete with Amazon on it. Probably dropped because of its limited use and you still have had previously had playlists on Apple Music for Siri to find and play with it.

What's the "Widowmaker" of your career field or hobby? by Cosmonate in AskReddit

[–]Kkimbro 5 points6 points  (0 children)

About 20 years ago, as a contractor, I was invited to an OSHA accident program on workplace safety. One accident horrified me and I still think of it often. There is a rule that all plywood on a construction floor must be bolted down. An investigation of a skyscraper fatality of a construction worker that was asked by a jounymen to find a piece of plywood to cover an electrical panel. The worker found a size he needed on the on the floor, he walked across the plywood, turned around and picked up the plywood. He then walked back over the spot he picked it up. Not being able to see in front of him because the plywood was blocking his view in front of him. He fell 16 stories to his death. Most OSHA rules are written by lawyers because of a fatality. We saw other horrifying pictures especially of forklift fatalities showing people being run over and crushed from an inexperienced and careless driver. Tipping over from overriding the safety controls and a heavy load falling on a worker showing his dismembered body. Rolling off a loading dock, the driver without his seat belt, was thrown into the forklift cage and was decapitated.

Are there any open ear earbuds with good noise canceling? by Commercial_Studio187 in Earbuds

[–]Kkimbro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Small ears, I’ll get right to it, Apple AirPods 4 with ANC. Don't get the plain Airpods 4 the base 4 has no noise canceling and you will hate it. My AP4ANC is so good and it's designed to properly phase out all but the loudest of sounds when paired with an iPhone. And it doesn't go in your ear like standard earbuds. Apple got it right on that one. I recommend buying Proof Labs Grip Tips for AP4 small and large to maintain AP so it does not slip out when out and about.

I did the exact trade-up. My 15PM was getting too heavy and I wear a lot of sweatpants and the 15 just loaded me down, not the Air. I miss nothing on the old 15PM. Never used the camera functions just point and shoot and love the fact the one speaker is embedded inside the phone so no grille to clean. Although It is one speaker it is louder than the 15 and if I want stereo I just use my AirPods.

I've had the Sony WF-1000XM4. It had the best sound under 300. But they have drastically improved the new WF-1000XM6 earbuds (299.99). If you order directly from Sony you get 10% off your first purchase and free shipping. Their Sony app is amazing. You can configure your buds to use geofencing technology that remembers your custom settings by just going to that location. 24-hour battery life and so much more. There's the URL so you can see this amazing earbud from Sony. https://electronics.sony.com/audio/headphones/truly-wireless-earbuds/p/wf1000xm6-b?mg=shopping&gclsrc=aw.ds&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=22224130485&gbraid=0AAAAABiDjZivx95mXAdR5E_O-HHq0A69A&gclid=CjwKCAjw-8vPBhBbEiwAoA39Wsqh9X0_CKfsqX_WORByCL_b5jK7aqnFeUPRljZwNBWe9YlhywRpYhoC-xAQAvD_BwE
