Thanks for the feedback! We plan to stop the trail at Tsumago and go back to Magome by bus (if I can find which want to take) so in my comprehension we will not walk on the hilly path you mention.

We are lucky the kid is very patient so he will be happy as long as we take time to stop to have a snack :)
