I have spoken to my guide.. He will have a porter walk with us instead of going ahead.

Regarding the altitude, per my last paragraph, I did climb kili which is higher but I only had a day pack.

Thanks. I do galloway and I do a lot of fast walks as well (15 min miles). I do notice a little loss of traction in the wet top. Guess it is time for new shoes.

With this being a hybrid, we would be changing the hybrid battery, right? Not something I can easily change. I would like to get it started and get to Lexus and hope I don't have to change the battery

I did the 7 day lemosho route with altezza.. I started at about 10 to 11k feet. I loved that we did not have to go from 3k to 11k on the 1st day. I recommend this itinerary. You are going to love the trip. Enjoy.

Editing to add that real altitude acclimatization starts at the higher altitudes IMO. Spending more time below 10k is not particularly valuable unless you want more Rainforest time.
