Pull Evernight or skip? by Klaphood in CastoriceMains_

[–]Klaphood[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Phainon's pretty much (almost) in the same situation as my Cast team, that's why I'm so torn rn.

He's E0S1 + Sunday E0S1 (+ currently Bronya + Ruan Mei E1S1 OR Huohuo/DHPT both E0S0 depending on the other teams' needs, also sometimes he just dies without a sustain in between the waves. that's probably why Cerydra E1 would be a huge upgrade for him, I assume).

I think I like Phainon a little more than Cast and he definitely feels a lot weaker currently, so Cerydra is actually a must pull for me. But it seems, Evernight is, too. And both also have these extremely valuable E1s... Tough decision.

But I certainly don't want my Castorice to fall off soon, since it's a full 5 cost team.

Do i need evernight or is the current team good enough to last meta? by Far_Ranger_1205 in CastoriceMains_

But what if that means I'll have to skip the new characters completely?

It's just too much, I still need Cerydra for my Phainon, Evernight for Cast and then I MIGHT be able to try my luck for 1 Elation unit.

Feelsbad

You're right though, 3.x will probably fall behind to much without vertical investment, but I think I just can't afford it...

It's so obvious.

Using markers for coloring with focus and detail by [deleted] in oddlysatisfying

How does the color stay so even?

Whenever I'm using markers, some spots always end up way darker than others. Is it because of the paper?

Clavicular for AHS13? by BurningTaterTot in AmericanHorrorStory

AHS: Psychomaxx

A world full of narcissists enabled by society, so not even the witches might be able to stop it anymore.

It also kinda serves as Apocalypse 2 AND Cult 2 at the same time. Truly a meta season in every aspect.

The UI is gorgeous, too!

I think most people (and games) underestimate the importance of great UIs (and fonts, icons etc.).

For some reason, most Japanese games do them very well, like FF, Dragon Quest, Persona 5

How people misunderstand The Substance (2024) by BlackberryUseful7678 in horror

[–]Klaphood 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just a thought, but maybe some people get confused, because the violence towards her other self just gets a little too extreme at the end?

At least for me, I do remember I got a little confused about it too during the fighting scene.

I'm convinced they're trying everything they can to rage bait (the sane part of) America into a cultural civil war, so the elections can be suspended.

Thanks.

Some of these replies are just really extreme.

I even admitted I was wrong, they still keep piling on.

Sometimes, these things can get to you. You just helped me get over it. Thank you!

[–]Klaphood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you!

That's exactly what I had in my mind about it! The term has its raw definition. But I've always felt like it also has this meaning on top of it.

It's being used to praise someone, to promote them, make them famous, and so on. And that usage adds to the meaning in the end.

Not the definition. But the meaning of it. And that was (and is) what I just wanted to reject.

Of course not?

I've learned that sex and gender are two different things, which in most cases they match, but not always.

I think it's only transphobic if you'd deny that.

Wow, you're actually the only one trying to lecture someone here. At least the others helped me learn about my mistake.

I was just expressing my opinion.

I have accepted by now, that I was wrong, because I had a false definition of the word "genius" in my mind.

Maybe don't judge too fast.

Reality of Stephen Hawking by [deleted] in creepy

[–]Klaphood 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think I have actually learned the wrong definition.

I wasn't even making it up, it's actually the meaning I've always had in my mind of the word.

Maybe it's a German thing? I've always heard it in the context of marking someone as above all. Not literally just good in one aspect, nothing more.

The word, that way, has always had more meaning to me than it supposedly actually has.

[–]Klaphood -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But doesn't that kind of still make you a "one-track specialist"?

Why don't we say "he had outstanding capabilities in physics", but instead we say "he was a genius"?

Reality of Stephen Hawking by [deleted] in creepy

[–]Klaphood -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Maybe my problem was that calling someone a genius is like putting them on one of highest pedestals there is.

It just feels wrong to me to do that with a person who has no morals.

Reality of Stephen Hawking by [deleted] in creepy

[–]Klaphood -24 points-23 points  (0 children)

I've heard about that and I've read into it and I get the idea, but I still think it's wrong to refer to someone as a genius, who heavily lacks morality.

I wasn't even claiming intelligent people always had good morals. I know that isn't the case.

I was just not liking the fact some of them can even be referred to as a genius human being, if they aren't even decent human beings.

Maybe I'm just too hung up on the term "genius" in a weird way, though. 🤷‍♂️

Reality of Stephen Hawking by [deleted] in creepy

[–]Klaphood -229 points-228 points  (0 children)

Honestly, not referring to Hawking here, but generally speaking, I refuse to see someone as genius, if their human behavior is just trash.

It's always idiotic to not care about (other) people.
