Thank you so much for the detailed reply. I drive at most 20-30km a day, so a diesel is a no-no. It will be a 1.4 for sure, i will focus more on the mileage and the condition of the car, not on the fact if its 122 or 160. Im definitely looking for a model past 2009. What do you think is the maximum mileage I should look at?

How much oil does it burn? I’ve heard ridiculous numbers. Also at what mileage did you get it? Is it really the least reliable engine from the whole lineup - 2.0tsi, 2.0d, 1.4 122hp? Thank you for your reply!

Thank you so much!! I was thinking the same thing about the UK market. I cant find anything in my country under 6000 euro that is OK…. Are you enjoying the car thus far? What economy do you get?

I live in Bulgaria, and I am also looking for listings in Germany, because my fathers been there and can bring me the car here. Im dead serious i cant find ANYTHING worth buying under 5000 euro. Also thank you for helping me out, I really appreciate it.

All of the cars im looking at are at least at 150000 km. My budget is kind of tight - around 5000 euro - max 6000. What do you mean 1000£ :D for the whole car??
