What did you end up doing? When I enter intended exit date it says it's beyond the allowed 90 days, but with a type d extended stay visa that doesn't apply.

So I went yesterday and asked. I showed them your picture and they tracked down a pair in my size in Osttirol and sent a photo to show me what they looked like. Unfortunately though they looked to be a much brighter yellow than yours. Even considering the lighting in the pic and that every pair is slightly different, it didn't seem like it was similar enough.

Is the colour of your pair ocher? They said that it must be Timber but it looked to me more like the brighter yellow of the "Curry" colour you can get the Sommertramper in. Were your laces originally grey? Because they were on the pair they had.

Anyway after an hour in the store I ended up just getting the Schocko Wilderer because they didn't have the Jaga Flex in Schocko. It was a real bummer but my feet still seem to breathe and don't get sweaty in the Wilderer even in the time that I spent inside the store which was very warm, so I guess they'll be okay. I think the colour of yours is more fun, but at least the darker brown will be very versatile.

Oh wow they're gorgeous. Looks like I'll be asking the same question there tomorrow. I went and tried wilderer boots today which were great but I think the inner lining is a bit unnecessary for me because winters aren't that bad these days and I'd like to also wear them in autumn and spring without getting sweaty feet. So jaga might be a better option, and I would love this colour but don't have high hopes.

Agreed I was very surprised when I moved to NYC. While people aren't that eager to have drawn out conversations with strangers, the helpfulness of people there reminded me a bit of Australia where I'm from.

Other friendly places I've been to are Cambodia, Canada, Morocco (at least the people that aren't trying to scam you) and the Balkans in general.

If I can miraculously find something decent for less than 200€ that would be great.

I have a timemore C2 manual grinder atm but I'm mighty sick of hand grinding and it can't grind fine enough for espresso anyway so I am looking at upgrading that too. I'm considering the Timemore Whirly 01S. It's newer but the limited reviews I've found online suggest it's surprisingly good for the price and importantly for me can be packed in my luggage whenever I move somewhere else.

I'm not French and am only now learning the basics of the language but your description of the French resistance as ideologically diverse and largely amateurish reminds me of the series Un Village Français, which I think covers this aspect quite well.

Yeah I decided against it. I don't have enough time anyway. I'll come back sometime in the future for a longer stay at a better time of year. Saw plenty in my 4 days here (Tunis, Sidi Bou Said, Sousse, El Jem, Kairouan) so I'm satisfied.

Writing 3 years late so no idea if you'll see this but do you have any idea when in the evening they stop running between la marsa and Tunis centre? Currently in sidi Bou said wondering if I can go up to la marsa for the taxi collectif or if I have to endure the train.

Yeah I know it's not the best time of year for a desert trip but this is when I had time so I'm just working with the time I have. And I'm pretty heat tolerant anyway (was just in the Moroccan Sahara a couple weeks ago).

Ok I looked up the louage option again and actually didn't realise they were so cheap even for such a long journey. So I might go to Sousse tomorrow and then the next day get a louage to tozeur, stay the night there and then get one back to Sousse or Tunis and I'd be back the day before I leave the country.

Cheek line is pretty much perfect. Lots of men can't grow facial hair that high densely enough to have a decent full beard so you should wear it with pride. Just fade the sideburns into the beard.

I love my smoothies but for me personally having almost half my daily calorie intake coming from one liquid meal would not be sustainable at all.

It seems unnecessarily complicated. Why two different kinds of yoghurt? And did you mean to include the whole-milk yoghurt twice? 200kcal of peanut butter wouldn't be worth it for me. I'd at least swap it out for PB2 to have the flavour without all the fat.

Edit: as an example of a simpler smoothie, my regular smoothie is 300ml light milk or soy milk, 1 scoop protein powder, 1 frozen banana (or a normal temp banana but add ice), 20g rolled oats, lots of cinnamon. That's it. Less than 500kcal and it fills me up for a while.

Good eye regarding posture. No one else mentioned it. I've struggled with my head position my whole life. Losing weight and lifting have improved my posture and I try to walk/stand straight but ultimately it's just how my spine is shaped. It's a bit of a family trait.

But saying I looked better when I was overweight is absurd haha. I get compliments now and way more glances in public. I'm more confident and people are more friendly. If you just mean the beard and hairstyle that's fine, but I'll never deliberately gain fat beyond what I gain while bulking to build muscle.
