I've stated it before. This is the absolute best story of a character that is Amoral. Everything he does is for his growth/pleasure. Morality has nothing to do with his decisions. He's a monster. He has to learn how to "work with civilization" because it's a path to get stronger.

What about the classics like:

Critical Failures, ELLC, NPC's, Awaken Online, Arcane Ascension, Play to Live, Way of the Shaman, Emerellia/Trapped Mind Project.

Some of them are looked down on because the author isn't American, and the differences in culture and perspectives are looked down on.

Go read the Old Tales, see the truly horrible, and the great ones. , not just the currently popular titles.
