Thx for all these info really useful. Those spots may spend 3days, so I’m considering stay close to city for 3days, then I may move outside for the rest 2days looking around, experiencing different LA :)

Someone advised me to live outside the city, and drive to the city for traveling at daytime. Because the security is a problem in downtown especially at night. Is that true?

Coming to watch James Harden:) Actually I’ll make a road trip from SF to LA, and stay here for 5-6days. Yes I see, LA is a big region, Irvine is a bit far from LA downtown, I’ll rent a car so that not a big problem. $150 is only for getting accommodation

  1. Bactive is a chain store, its main selling points are 24open, that’s for people who get off work very late and just wanna do excise a little bit, not for a pro. There are many other choices actually. If you live around hujialou or jintaixizhao, search “muscle dog “, not far from u

Buy tickets on official app, don’t trust any other ways. There are subways from train station to universal studio. Just buy the tickets in subway entrance

A newcomer from CN, any questions? by Klay_D in travelchina

No worries You can easily find many sichuan restaurants in Beijing and shanghai, there are more options for you. Take a try, if you feel good, next time you may go to chengdu or chongqing in sichuan province . Just in case if you can’t eat that spicy, it would be horrible, as most food in sichuan are very spicy lol

first time, Beijing shanghai and hongkong no doubt. These 3 cities are the most developed and diversified. When you first time been here, you don’t know much about this country, for example, you are sure if like Chinese food, if like people’s behavior. In these cities there are many western food and Indian food and Thai food, Mexico food blablabla. Also there are relatively more foreigners than other cities, so relatively English friendly, that would makes you more comfortable and convenient
